I'm really not too excited over that game . It was nice to have football back but the Giants are running a new up tempo O and after only two weeks of camp it wasn't bad ,nice just to see JPP batting balls at the line again .

Re: Around the League...Training Camp Style!

I see this every time a big deal is reached and it seems that people look at it as how much they would pay for a particular player if virtually every QB was available on the open market. However you have to consider how difficult it is not only to find a QB but the fact that you've taken X amount of time to at the very least develop him within your organization. Dalton with 3 years of experience in the Bengals offense is more valuable then Dalton in year 1 with another team.

And even if a player is a product of a system how easy is it for your organization to find a comparable fit?

I'm gonna be watching this Thursday night with one eye closed and another open. Heard our first practice against the pats was super sloppy.

Yup. If you have a QB you can win with on a regular basis (Flacco, Dalton, Romo), you pay premium dollar to hold onto them. Flawed as they may be, it's either them or a journeyman or untested rookie. Not like the Bengals could say, ehh, let him walk, we will just sign Aaron Rodgers instead.

I'm glad the Redskins practiced with the Patriots. It's a good way to measure how far off they are - which apparently in some respects they're really far off! But, it shows them where they're at and where they need to be. It's hard to gauge that when you're practicing against your own team.

Nice!! I was at the game when they dedicated that statue to TL(a skins loss). I looked over my left shoulder and Bob Lilly was standing there at one of the tunnel entrances. Fans walking right by him didn't even know who he was.
I asked a couple of stooges around me if they knew who that was and they were dumbfounded. A bunch of Cowboy greats came out of each tunnel around the stadium right before halftime.

Speaking of Cowboys. The ever so classy Jerry Jones continues to outdo himself.
