I don't know why you're stuck on RG?? Articles today discussed how bad the offense was yesterday without RG, and there was plenty of chatting here too.

Grudens bad showing on offense yesterday had nothing to do with RG. The offense was horrible through most of the first half. We moved the ball well in the second half but yards don't equal points and between stupid playcalls and obvious lack of preparation we put up a measly 27 points against the worst RZ defense in pro football.

Out of curiosity did you want Zorn back for a 2nd year? And do you realize Gruden has more talent to work with here but still worse results than Zorn?

When you look at Gruden in cincy, he needed a ton of talent to get results, but always fucked it up in the big games, mostly by getting cute with pass plays instead of pounding the run that got him ahead in the first place.

I'm at a total loss what folks see in Gruden. But as an HC he deserves these last four games to show whether he can be a leader.

Denver and Manning put up 31 points against this horrible D as opposed to our measly 27.
Philly put up 30 as opposed to our measly 27.
Baltimore a good team put up 13 as opposed to our measly 27.
Cincy and all of that ton of talent that you are referring to put up 0 as opposed once again to our measly 27. Wasnt it you that said that points are the only offensive stat that matter? So which is it?
Only four teams all year have put up more points against them that we did. Two of them by 4 and 3 - and those are two of the more prolific offenses in the game!
But dont let the facts get in the way.
Edit: not to mention that Denver Houston and Pitt all got them at home - we played them in the dome. Id say thats worth a few points and you could argue that points wise we gave their D as big a handful as any other team has this year.

It's like we're watching different games. The one I saw our offense left 18 points on the field. Offense couldn't answer when it needed to and Indy was in control all game long.

Same same, I have no idea what you're seeing out there. Can we all agree it needs to improve??

Something tells me Manning, Chip Kelly, and Especially that talent laden Cincy team left some points on the board too. Who cares if we scored the damn points from the redzone on a turnover or from our own 1?

Of course it needs to improve. It has needed to improve for twenty years. Obviously firing head coaches one after the other is not the answer. As I said before no matter what happens these last few games, Jay is going nowhere. Relax, and lets see where a full compliment of draft picks plus cap money, and a new DC bring us. Those three things we can bank on.

As much as I disagree with the handling of RGIII and the non existent game prep vs TB, I still feel that he has a lot of potential.

Re: The everything Gruden thread

Gruden is a rookie Head coach. There is going to be growing pains. If we chose to get rid of him after one year. Well, it shows that this franchise will never learn to mold its own franchise and the win now attitude will never go away. Ill find another team after twenty years of loyal watching. Never missing a snap no matter the score.

I just cant continue to watch this fanbase and it staff cripple its legacy with this "go out and get this guy" approach if plan A doesnt work after 12 weeks in.

So I hope Gruden stays for 2-3 more years.

This fanbase and Dan Snyder deserve each other. They are so much alike it's not even funny.

The only coach who's truly been out of his league has been Zorn.

I agree and wouldnt let him go this offseason. I still think he can put it together...I think staying healthy and just continue working.

I think a good humbling experience can be great for people. He was drafted partially on his high character and being coachable so based on that, Im not ready to give up on him.

The bottomline for me will be not winning the job coming into next season. No sense in trading him, you wont get anything for him.
