Refugee Resettlement | Center for Immigration Studies
Security Matters. Meaningful background checks are difficult to obtain for refugees admitted from countries without reliable government records. Common criminals, war criminals, international fugitives, and terrorists have all used the USRAP and its related asylum provisions for entry into the United States. Bribery of U.N. officials is commonly reported among those attempting to secure refugee admission to the United States. Report: Major Problems with U.S. Refugee Resettlement Program Two major terrorism incidents on American soil are directly connected to the refugee program. The Somali Christmas Tree bomber was a resettled refugee in Portland, Oregon, while the Boston bomber family was granted asylum in the U.S. and received protection and care under the 1980 Refugee Act. There is much....information availaale as to problems with the plan. Most specifically, information is just not available in any reliable fashion in these...terrorist friendly countires.

Quote:
The CIS is partnered with John Tanton founder of FAIR also a well know white surpremaist. His and their position isn't based on facts, it is based on fear and bigotry. The Canadian Press is an ultra right wing rag that is so biased it was printing birther crap as little as a couple years ago. They also are climate change deniers and push creationism. They also have a habit of printing the home addresses of people they don't agree with so right wing nuts can harass them at home. No responsible media source would ever do this.

Re: Republican nominee for President
It takes over a year for them to seek asylum in this country. Frankly I am more concerned about U.S. citizens who leave and then comeback with spouses or those representing "American" interests such as oil and mining exploration that have free range and can come and go as they please no questions asked other than "Are you trying to bring fruit into the country?"
Furthermore are you really going to pin those two incidents on the refugee program? In the Oregon incident it was a "planned" attack by our government i.e. they coaxed him to do it in a sting despite years of pleas from the parents asking the government for help for fear their son was going to be radicalized. In the Boston bombing incident the radicalization occurred once in our borders not prior. To me the problem needs to be addressed on our home soil not from a mass ban of 20% of the world's population and a federal registration program. |

Re: Republican nominee for President
There are many high ranking US officials that make similar points as to the many weak points of our current vetting system, but a good idea can be found from FBI director, Chairman Homeland Security committee and an apparent (who is by far the most entertaining) Syrian leader here in the states.
I know what you thinking, they're probably prejudiced sources and known White Supremists......lol Third World countries, particularly places like Syria, do not have the network of information the United States has.” “In Syria, there’s no such thing. So when they tell you that [the refugees] are vetted, are you out of your mind?” he said...classic And BTW...if you have a point make it. That chickenshit racism bullshit is....tired Syrian community leader: ISIS is already in America | New York Post “You can go to the Syrian government today and say to them, ‘I need a piece of paper that says I’m Tony Caterpillar.’ And they give it to you,” he said. “These are not forged documents. These are written out by a government employee who needs money, whose family has no food.” Succar, 57, who immigrated to the United States when he was 10, also noted that “Third World countries, particularly places like Syria, do not have the network of information the United States has.” “In Syria, there’s no such thing. So when they tell you that [the refugees] are vetted, are you out of your mind?” he said. How do Syrian refugees get into the U.S.? - CNNPolitics.com FBI Director James Comey hit on the issue at a congressional hearing last month, when he told lawmakers, "If someone has never made a ripple in the pond in Syria in a way that would get their identity or their interest reflected in our database, we can query our database until the cows come home, but there will be nothing show up because we have no record of them." This particularly comes into play when trying to evaluate an applicant's criminal history. "In terms of criminal history, we do the best we can with the resources that we have," one senior administration official said. https://pjmedia.com/blog/homeland-se...-bringing-more The chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee said he'd be supportive of bringing in more Syrian refugees if there was a proper vetting process, but he fears a "reckless and dangerous policy" taking shape.

Putin praises 'bright and talented' Donald Trump - CNNPolitics.com
I mean if this isn't a red flag...lets remember Putin has eliminated a lot of political foes one way or the other and has re placed them with political allies that are basically gangsters and strongmen (Chechnya). Has put in place reforms that have restricted civil liberties across the country. Russia is back in the business of repressing minorities as well. And we all know about Ukraine, Crimeana and Syria. |

Re: Republican nominee for President
If my kid was on a field trip to a botanical garden and her teacher allowed her to be manipulated and take part in this ^^^^ .. i would be fucking livid. Carly Fiorina Accused Of Crashing Kids' Field Trip And Ushering Them To Anti-Abortion Rally | ThinkProgress The anti-abortion event was held at the Greater Des Moines Botanical Garden. At the same time, a group of preschoolers was also visiting the botanical garden for a field trip. According to the Des Moines Register, Fiorina “headed straight for a group of giggling 4- and 5-year-olds” when she first arrived at the botanical garden. She reportedly ushered them toward the makeshift stage set up for the anti-abortion event — which featured a large poster of a fetus — without asking permission for the children to sit with her.
