Re: 2022 off season thread part 1
The Haskins pick should have been the eye opener for him. It’s beyond frustrating for Snyder to have a voice about the QB. Ron and everyone should quit if he pulls this shit

Re: 2022 off season thread part 1
I mean, I hope they do make a "splash". Whatever it takes to get the Franchise guy in here. Doesn't mean DS is making the decision. Everyone knows the team needs a QB, and that another year of Fitz/Heinicke/Allen - like production isn't going to cut it.

I absolutely 100% do not beleive he can make the correct choice when it comes to any position on the field, and especially at the quarterback position. The only person that has had any type of success here has been the person that he was against picking (cousins). as far as go big...i agree. but snyder has shown a level of ineptitude that is rarely seen. You would think, statistically, that he would have to have gotten it correct at least once. but he hasnt. its a true anomaly. so when you say go big, i agree....but i also dont want to see him spend 5 first rounds to seattle for wilson, or something else. He is entirely too good at auctioning our future away when he becomes enamored with a player.

Re: 2022 off season thread part 1
Well, we have no future without a QB. Go big doesn't mean be unreasonably stupid about what you pay, but the fact is, they're going to have to "overpay" whether it's in free agency, via trade, or in the draft. Nobody is going to come here on a discount, and there are enough teams that need a QB to drive the market up more than it "should be".

While I think DS will be "involved", because he is the owner, I really don't think he is going to make the decision. History of course is not on my side in that thinking, but I'm choosing to be optimistic. My point was really that just because someone says "I think it's more than just football people that are pushing for a QB", doesn't mean they are talking about DS. It just means that literally everyone knows that the team needs a QB. |

Re: 2022 off season thread part 1
I'm not a Derek Carr fan, if they decide to trade for him (if he is available) I just hope they are not stupid enough to give up a lot to trade for him and then sign him to a huge contract like Alex Smith. Rather take my chances with Pickett, Corral or Howell.

Re: 2022 off season thread part 1
The concern is if there are 2 QBs available at No. 11 (could apply to any round really), and the staff wants 1 guy and Snyder wants the other guy, Snyder will once again force his will on the pick. And because he is the devil's grundle, that choice will suck.
We absolutely should make a splash at QB, but a splash that is made by Rivera and Co., with no input from Snyder. I hope we can get Corral or Howell at 11. I don't trust glove-hand luke.

Re: 2022 off season thread part 1
People need to realize that the price to acquire a QB (trade value, contract, etc., etc.) is inflated in the NFL.
Also, this tweet is on point: @RedskinsCult · 10h Some fans crack me up Me: “we need a new QB” Fans: “yeah!” “We need to trade for a vet” “Agree! We need a vet” “Ok Carr” “No he’d cost too much & isn’t elite” “Ok Rodgers” “Too old” “Russell Wilson?” “Eh too much and coming off a down year…”

Re: 2022 off season thread part 1
People who say they wouldn't want Russell Wilson are absolutely insane.
