Coaches often view such "marketing" as a distraction best avoided. I don't think any coach views contribution on field as gravy. Sounds like THE DAN though, LOL.

Tebow's speed and Cooley's speed are comparable. Don't read more into my post than is there, but at least read the post.
LOL.
I read it.
LOL.

Re: WFT's Off-Season Thread

I dont think Tebow would make an NFL roster but Jaguars are a bit differently run.

I could see a package where he is in for 10 or so snaps a game.

Short yardage and 2 pt conversions = he could be wildcat, QB or decoy .. move him from outside to inside and see if D shifts etc

Im convinced a coach soon will come up with a specialized short yardage/2 pt conversions unit with someone like Tebow or Saints Hill and go for it every single time for 2 points.

They will have a 85% or so conversions rate for short yard and 2 pts tries.

20 years from now all teams will have a special short yardage unit.

Speaking of gravy, there are a lot of chefs in the Jags kitchen.

Re: WFT's Off-Season Thread

Anyone else get the feeling that the Jags will soon be the car wreck that no one in the NFL can't drive by without slowing down and staring?

Maybe we can scoop up Trevor Lawrence on the cheap in 3 years, after Urban is out of the league, and his replacement fucks up the talent at his disposal.

Here is a 20 minute interview with Terry McLaurin. Love this guy's attitude, intelligence and savvy answers. There was as little fluff as you can get in an off season interview with some nuggets, like Fitz texting him about routes, that make it well worth the watch, especially when insomnia kicks

This was an excellent interview. Terry McLaurin is a very impressive young man. I"m glad he's on our side.

While Haskins has left an understandably bitter taste in the mouth of Skins fans, most of the OSU players are pretty high caliber persons as demonstrated by Terry and Chase and, soon to be, Chris Samuels..

Re: WFT's Off-Season Thread

Lot of speculation, but still a good read IMO.
Didn't know part of the money loaned to Dan for the buy out came directly from the NFL.

Catchy title, but good column : Dan Snyder could be forced out by NFL if no stadium deal is reached

Assuming 100% true, I'm very torn here. Really really want a stadium in D.C. Really really want to have a different owner. Hmmmm??

THE DAN not dumb enough to let it happen.
He is indeed an embarrassment to NFL. Every species of failure and douchery imaginable under his ownership.
The living exemplar of the free rider effect, LOL.
Snyder can just get a loan somewhere else at higher interest in 8 years and pay them back if he hasn't gotten new stadium. With legalized gambling, he'll be rolling, though the entire world rightfully despises him, and local communities don't trust him and hate making a deal with him, too much money for someone not to bite.
Can you imagine, with turdery THE DAN has done publicly, what the internal report must say? Won't matter though, LOL. Momentary PR hit that will be massaged.
He is simply not dumb enough to give up team, we are stuck with him for decades, for life, and then probably his equally petulant children.
