Re: Mega-Merge: 2010 Free Agency Rumors and Reports Thread
Westbrook still has considerable value as a player, as long as you can tolerate his career being over as soon as he takes an awkward hit to the side of the head.
Jahvid Best is seemingly in the same both though. They are both excellent players.

Re: Mega-Merge: 2010 Free Agency Rumors and Reports Thread
correct me if I'm wrong, LJ hasn't had many injuries & has a lot less mileage on him, in part due to his poor practice habits & mouth.
Out of all these old RBs he seems the most likely to rebound & be a feature back. That is if he can keep from calling his coach names, gay slurs, etc. |

Makes sense that he would rather go to the Cards. He knows the coaches & scheme.

Yeah... and like he said, they're already a successful, winning franchise. Foote's got a much better shot of playing in a superbowl with them than he does with us. It'll be 3-4 years before we get to that level.
At this point, he's on my hate list. he'd have to eat quite a bit of crow to sign anywhere else at this point.

Re: Mega-Merge: 2010 Free Agency Rumors and Reports Thread
Neither team has a proven, starting QB, so its not like we have any sort of advantage there. They also benefit from offensive and defensive systems that have been in place for several years. Overall, our team has FAR more holes than thiers does. Of each team's 22 starters, i'd say atleast 75% are more talented than what we've got here. yeah, we'll address some positions in the draft, but so will they.

Foote can go to the Cards, and suffer under Matt Leinart.

Who would have ever thought the day would come that the Cardinals were considered a better franchise than the Redskins?

They used to be the bottom-dwellers, thats for sure. i guess building through the draft and having a rock solid coaching staff is good for something... well that, and being in the NFC West. I sure wish we got to play over 1/3rd of our games against St Louis, Seattle, and San Francisco.

A possible LB for the Redskins (given the Shanny connection)
Denver Broncos players moves: Linebacker Andra Davis released by Broncos - KDVR

You are correct, he was in Cleveland before.

Re: Mega-Merge: 2010 Free Agency Rumors and Reports Thread
Wide range of opinions on Andra Davis. I've seen plenty of tape with my own two eyes that justifies the Broncos' release of him. Indecisive, slow, misses tackles. However, some really, really smart people think that Davis is one of the most underrated ILBs in the NFL and one of the best 3-4 fits available.
I think they're wrong, but my argument is based off a small sample of what I've seen, so whatever.

by stats he's one of the better ones it seems, but I can't say I recall much from him actually watching
