Re: Obama Care
There are some good things in the law, there are some things that can be improved upon and there are some not so good things.
I think there's precedent for upholding, as well as overturning it. I really don't think they'll strike down the entire law though and I certainly wouldn't put too much weight into the oral arguments. The media have seized upon as if they've already ruled. FWIW, I'm for it and think they'll uphold the law. |

Re: Obama Care
Three major health providers, UnitedHealthcare, Aetna, and Human today announced they're preserving key provisions of ACA "Obamacare" even if SCOTUS strikes down law.

Re: Obama Care
The Supreme Court is unlikely to strike down all of the law in my opinion. The fact that the biggest healthcare provider went in this direction squarely debunks the myth that Obamacare is government run and overreach.

Re: Obama Care
Shouldn't this be renamed Romney Care? After all, he was the first to implement it.

They will still allow kids from the age 19 to 26 to remian on their parents policy. Lets do the math 6.6 million kids on mom and dads policy at around $100 a month. 6,600,000 X $100 =660,000,000 Now do you think those kids actually use very much insurance or do you think that was a hugh profit for the insurance company? Right, it was hugh profits for the insurance companies. The company will also continue offering preventive health care services without out-of-pocket cost. That's was becoming pretty standard even before Obama care because it was saving the Ins. companies money. So once again they are giving up nothing. They will also remove the lifetime cap on coverage. This could be big for a few people but most caps are around 5 mil. and if your 5 mil. into coverage then you have one foot in the grave so who cares. My point is that company only gained from this. I did not read that they would still take people with pre exsisting conditions and oher things that drive up their cost. Another word they cherry picked what they would still offer to make the company look good. |

Re: Obama Care
Of course they cherry picked what they liked. My point is this is how the free market works.

Re: Obama Care
Well today is the big day for Obama Care. I have a feeling that it gets upheld with Kennedy making the deciding vote.
