Agreed. I just don't want anymore recycled guys coming in here with any chance of starting. That's why I think Weedon would be my choice. He's the most ready guy out there to start day one. Start him, get another o- linemen or two and we're headed in the right direction.

It just seems to me that if a QB doesnt want to throw he's trying to hide something like a weak arm or inaccuracy. Throwing is everything for an NFL QB. If you have nothing to gain why bother going to Indy at all?

Should have written "found out if they could trade him by Mar13th".

Packers maneuvering franchise tag for Flynn?

"Though the Packers must franchise him by March 5, he won't count against their cap until March 13, the first day of the league calendar. The one thing they don't want to happen is to get stuck with Flynn on their roster at $14.4 million with no trade partner."

I agree. Love watching Gruden with the QB's. I remember watching Cam Newton last year and I was like.."this guy has bust written all over him!"

Well RG3 doesn't have a weak arm and has great accuracy on his deep ball. Probably the best deep ball thrower in the draft. A lot of guys don't throw at the combine. No big deal.

The guys go to meet the teams and talk with them. It's not just about the drills. They all throw at their pro days.

Are you sure? W/out looking it up, it seems to me many a player has been franchised with the intent of getting a trade. How would you prove that the "intent to trade" (barring something idiotic like the GM saying "Oh, we don't want him, we just tagged him to trade him")?

?

It's only tampering if other teams try to talk with him or his agent. Other teams can talk to the organization. The organization can talk to other teams now even in effect shopping him to see what they could get for him. If they think there is enough interest they should tag him and see what trade they could get. It also would help out Miami if they plan to sign him and GB wants to help them out. Flynn doesn't see the open market and doesn't get a choice as to where he wants to go. Even if it is Miami. It also ensures he does not go to another NFC team.

It pisses me off but who cares.

The top QBs often don't throw. This is nothing new.

Going to Indy is still important for the interview process.

Re: The "Inside Word" on the QB Search

Ok so with Flynn being such a bad QB and the Packers deciding to possibly tag such a bad, unknown, 2nd rate QB I wonder what Miami is going to do and how that will effect the Skins? Why do I ask? because a lot of people figured Miami would make a big play for Flynn. Now that he might be off the table and they are not re-signing Henne then who do they bring in and who do they draft? Miami was a team I heard that was interested in Weeden also, which is why I ask because if they are and the Skins are high on Weeden then no way should the Skins trade back to late 1st round and let Miami take him. We either make a trade to a position prior to Miami or just take Weeden at #6.

Re: The "Inside Word" on the QB Search

i doubt the pack plan to keep him on the roster with a number like $14.4M. any team that wanted him can still have him
