... mostly on the defensive players though. they missed 100 tackles today and just didnt execute well. the missed tackles led to most of the giants success
I'm not completely convienced that they were "missed tackles". What I say was a lot of stiff arm tackles in trying to knock the opponent down; I think there were maybe two times that I saw them wrap them up and bring them down.

greg williams is a typical nfl coach. all ego. thinks its his system and not the players. instead of trying to adapt to injury, he just plugs in another player, and continues with the system. i dont know about you, but to me it looks like its not working

It was a terrible game played and coached by just about everyone. We played two great games previously and the Giants played two terrible games. Both teams are pretty even in ability so the swing had to occur at some time. I'm ready to play the Titans and Colts.

The biggest thing missing from this time around for Gibbs is the halftime adjustments. When he was here the first time, if the team was down at half, he would make adjustments and say something to them in the locker room that would make the team come out on fire ready to compete. I just don't see that this time around.

Also, did he come back from Nascar to simply be team president? I thought he wanted to coach.

Ah, I didn't see this thread when I made my coaching rant on the thread about "front office" woes.

yeah, I think the blame is on the coahces, not just becasue of play calling, which is obvious, but becasue this team often comes out flat and lifeless. Coaches need to find ways to inspire their teams, even if it's not a "must win". Given that we can beat good teams when we play with fire, that's the most important thing, IMO. Now, players need to be self-motivated, no doubt. But coaching is largely about getting your team to perform to the best of its ability. And we don't see that here week to week.

PS I'm pretty sure Gibbs decided to kick the FG, though most likely Saunders called the pass on 3rd and 1. And, jeeze, what the hell happened to our D????

im really underwhelmed on our team as a whole. Giants game was just like the dallas game earlier this year. JG and his highly paid coaching staff need to motivate our highly paid players somehow...You cant tell me the giants are that much better than us JG hates playing in the meadowlands look at his record up there...does anyone have it he almost never wins there...we need to administer a good ol' fashioned ass whippin to tenn and indy if that happens i believre the skins will be in a better position to play a div or a confrence team.
