I couldnt agree more. When did journalists thrust aside impartiality in an effort to BE the story?
Being a part of the story was pioneered by Hunter S Thompson, he named the genre Gonzo journalism. It's cool for different kind of stuff, but it doesn't work in today's NFL. It is also not effective in a story that was done based on an interview format.

Wise needs to keep his head down regarding III and his recovery. He certainly shouldn't be aligning himself with DM.

I don't get what the deal with Wise is. I feel like he didn't used to be such a douche. It's like he learned on his radio show how to say stuff just for attention. He'd fit right in at the four letter on one of their craptastic who can yell the loudest opinion shows meant for bumbling fools.

Re: Donovan McNabb's comments in the Washington Post

And Rich Campbell...where did his idiocy come from all of a sudden? He thinks McNabb earned enough respect to have his opinions valued. Not around here he didn't. He's an immature petulant egoist that even Philly finally figured out and shipped off.

I was thinking the same thing.

I used to watch (well, still do until the season ended) the NBC4 Redskin show with Dan Hellie that has Jason Reid, Doc Walker and Mike Wise. I used to respect Mike Wise on that show. He was never being annoying and obnoxious as he is today about the whole name debate. Now its like there some high powered person who is paying Mike Wise lots of money to use him as his voice to get out his opinion on why the skins should change their name, without giving out his identity (much like Guy Pearce with Ben Kingsley's character in Iron Man 3; man that was a not good movie..)

Its too bad, but what McNabb doesn't understand is that we love RGIII and are concerned about him. In Philly, McNabb never knew that love.

Hell, throw all of ESPN in there. Unfortunately this stuff sells, I say that as someone who likes Mike and Mike(Golic).

@MikeWiseguy @john_keim @RGIII Don't repeat this trash. The fact any DC reporter gives a EFF what McNugget has to say is laughable.

@NC_Skins23 Hi. This is Mike's automated Twitter response to inform you you've been blocked for eternity. Aloha.

I guess Mike think it's a punishment blocking you from his account...lol What a tool bag. He's a critic, that can't take criticism.

Seeing how Mike Wise is so offended by our team's name, why is he writing about us.....?

Wise should fire himself, if he actually believed any of his own tripe.

I particularly liked this quote
It’s not altogether surprising that Washington Post columnist Mike Wise went to McNabb to ask his opinion on the Redskins signal caller; it’s not like Wise is going to get a legitimate interview with RGIII any time soon
Mike has blackballed himself right out of any chance of interviewing RGIII.

Speaking of that douche bag, not sure if you knew he did this the other week.

This douche is trying to make it all about him. It's why I refuse to read any of his work anymore.

Like I have said in the other threads, I am tired of what the white people have to say about the name change.

Go find something more meaningful to protest, this isn't the fight you will win.

Nice link too thanks NC.

Re: Donovan McNabb's comments in the Washington Post

McNabb has become unbearable since leaving Washington. I don't know if I'm bias because of how things ended with him here but I just can't stand him.

It was bad enough that he failed when he was here in DC, but now that he's working for NFL Network I've lost one of my favorite shows in NFC playbook. Whats next Donny? Are you going to get a regular role on The Big Bang Theory? Ruin that show for me too?

Real big ups for going hard at Wise. Feather in the cap was getting blocked...thats awesome. The fact Wise responded indicates he's hearing the fans feedback of the garbage he puts out. Wise has never been good, I mean never. Easy-to-predict media type who cut from the same type of garbage cloth that's made sports media in the last 10 years turn to absolute crap.

On the other hand, the Clyburn article at HTTR24-7 is one of the best I read in years. Insightful, honest and backed by fact; this is what sports media lacks today. Not outlandish "corn ball brother" hyperbole where the people reporting really want the story to be about them.

skinsfaninok 06-01-2013 08:20 PM

Mcnabb is just jealous of Griffin, it's so obvious, he wanted to be a star in Washington and then after he sucked he blamed coaching. Bum
