Re: Here we go...Dallas is coming to town!
It will be a fitting win for Dallas and a reckoning.
After getting humiliated at Fed-Ex last season to complete a Redskins sweep in 2005, it is fitting that the Dallas Cowboys be the team that puts the final nail in the coffin of the Redskins 2006 season. On the bright side at least after Sunday you can look forward to Campbell taking the reigns. |
Re: Here we go...Dallas is coming to town!
Dallas has many flaws, and we will magnify them this weekend. Romo will suffer from the intensity of FED EX field. Julius Jones will be shut down, and sean taylor will put T.O. in the hospital. We will also run it down your throats with whomever the RB is. Our season is on the line, get ready you sad excuses for human beings.

Re: Here we go...Dallas is coming to town!
Wow, the atypical Cowboy posters coming in with plenty of shit to say. Do you REALLY think you'll put up 35 points? I think it'll be close, and my brain tells me the Cowboys probably "should" win it, but remember, no one in the league has seen all the Redskins starters healthy since the preseason. That's going to be a HUGE factor. Another huge factor is that Romo is STILL in his second start. He's not going to come in and all of a sudden light us up at home. If anything, the score might be something like 17-10 Cowboys if Brunell doesn't get his shit together.
|
Re: Here we go...Dallas is coming to town!
Not only that, Portis didn't even play last game. He's the most important piece on the offense. While I think the Cowboys should win, some Cowboys fans are being mighty cocky for playing a Redskins team that is finally healthy (with the exception of Moss).

Malcolm, Malcom, Malcolm... even if you think it, don't say it. POSTIVE THOUGHTS ONLY!!!!!!!!! |
Re: Here we go...Dallas is coming to town!
I'm a realist too. I really don't know what to think about this game. We haven't seen this team all year. We haven't seen the team who had defensive starters pressuring the QB on EVERY PLAY against a great Bengals offensive line (yes, it was THAT long ago in preseason). We'll finally see that Sunday.
We also had Ladell Betts instead of the stud Clinton Portis. While I still think Brunell will stunt the passing game, I think Portis will make a MUCH a HUGE difference. I don't see how Cowboy fans can seriously think they can come INTO FedEx with our starting D finally healthy and put up 30+ points on us when they couldn't do it at home against our scrub backups IN Dallas. And don't blame your boy Bledsoe on that. Every OTHER team in the league had a field day with our crappy secondary. |

Gives me chills just thinking about it!!! If we are healthy, we are in a GREAT spot to start over here and now. GOD WILLING! I LOVE MY SKINS!! |
Re: Here we go...Dallas is coming to town!
Malcom I don't see 30+ point I do see 20+ points because that's what it has done almost every week so the thing we have to look for is that Can Brunnel and that offense score 20+ points on the Cowboys D.
|
Re: Here we go...Dallas is coming to town!
I might even give them 21 points, but no way 30+. I'll tell you this. They might not score 20+ points, but they'll make a game of it. This game won't be anything close to what it was in Dallas. While I don't think Brunell makes a lot of plays, I DO think that Portis will and he'll at least keep it close.
|
Re: Here we go...Dallas is coming to town!
I don't know Malcolm I'm more scared of cooley and Moss then Portis, Portis is amazing but he has never been able to put huge numbers against the cowboys.
The other thing is your defense which will show up the 35 point last year blow out 1 or the 1 that has shown up in 7 games this season I'm rutting for the second. |
Re: Here we go...Dallas is coming to town!
If anything, it can't be worse than it was the past seven games. Sure, one player doesn't make a team, but take out Kenny Wright (who was good for at LEAST one or two touchdowns EVERY SINGLE GAME this year) and replace him with a Shawn Springs and that'll make an enormous difference.
Portis put up some pretty good numbers in that second game last year. The Skins just have to pound them and not get away from their game. I'm also planning on FINALLY seeing a Randle El gadget play too. We've only run one this year. |

13-13 the game ends in a tie..... it,s just a guess especially since this season has pretty much gone up in smoke.......heres to campbell getting the nod but i don,t see it happening.. my real prediction 20-13 skins...... |
Re: Here we go...Dallas is coming to town!
yeah in that game portis had 112 yards rushing 0td wich is OK if he were the factore but honestly that game belong to Cooley he just destroyed our D he was the threat. Like Moss in the first game last year.
There hasn't been a game when you can say man Portis just destroyed us out there |
Re: Here we go...Dallas is coming to town!
Oh, I wouldn't say that at all, but he was a vital part of that game. His running opened up plenty of passing lanes for the rest of the offense.
|
Re: Here we go...Dallas is coming to town!
brunell should be able to get the ball to cooley in better position than in the last 7 games, he's the tight end for christ sake, just lob it up to him. We gotta utilize him a lot more, especially if brunell doesnt have to arm to go downfield along the sidelines.
|
Re: Here we go...Dallas is coming to town!
If we're going to do any lobbing, I'd rather it be to Lloyd. The man can JUMP.

38-14
man, o man ---- rage? We will sweep the skins, again. |
Re: Here we go...Dallas is coming to town!
I asked you this before. Are you talking about how you swept us last year?
|
Re: Here we go...Dallas is coming to town!
Because for me it seems like it's what have you done for me lately. You got the first one, but for the first time you'll see Portis and our ENTIRE DEFENSE healthy. The same one that held you to 13 points and 7 points in two games last year.

The only thing that would make that picture that much better, would be to have a flaming arrow sticking out of that "poor" cowboy's back! Great job HESS! GO 'SKINS!

Re: Here we go...Dallas is coming to town!
That fruit only comes around here before the game or if they win. He has no reason to come back now because he, or she, isn't interested in any real football talk. If he does manage to show up again before next season it will probably be to say something stupid like "the refs blew the game," or "we still have one more win than you" because he's an idiot.
What a tool. |
Re: Here we go...Dallas is coming to town!
That just really irked the fucking hell out of me.

Re: Here we go...Dallas is coming to town!
Uh, do you remember how our Oline made Phillip Daniels look like combination of Reggie White, Mark Gastineau, and LT last year?
The Redskins are going to bring everything at Romo, and we don't know how he will react. Sure The Carolina Line is good, but they disappear - like their star Peppers. I think this Dallas team just woke up with Romo and the comeback win in Carolina. I'll stop riding the fence now... Dallas 34 - Redskins 10.
Whoops..... Congratulations. Nice Game Redskins. Well Played. The Cowboys are in a life and death struggle to finish the season 8-8. This loss helps us maintain that balance. We are right on track. Woo. Hoo. Romo seemed to have good numbers tho... |

You are excluded from my posts. You didn't talk shit like a jerkoff and then not come back.

Re: Here we go...Dallas is coming to town!
You're a good man 5Rings, even if you are misguided and love the Cowboys. Any chance you'll realize the error of your ways and join us? You'd be like a recovering alcoholic who found Jesus. We, of course, will welcome you if you repent.
Thanks for the congrats.....very classy. |
Re: Here we go...Dallas is coming to town!
Yeah, Romo could be a thorn in our side for years to come and I don't like that. But I guess as long as the boys keep it somewhat close we have a chance.
|
Re: Here we go...Dallas is coming to town!
I'm not sure how to read that game. Dallas looked good on offense, but looked like it was missing something. i just cant put my finger on it. and whats up with carpenter? he cant beat out old man Ellis?i do know one thing, you guys are a better team with marion barber in the backfield
