Looks like we will have to win tonight.
Man, what happened to Matt Stafford? I've never seen a qb have such highs (last year) and lows (this year) like he has.
Only throw he can make is the jump ball to Calvin Johnson.

skinsfaninok 12-30-2012 02:19 PM

Stafford sucks I've been saying it for years. He's lucky he has CJ on his team or he'd be garbage.
Vick has always been overrated. Folks here talk about gimmicks, Vick is the ultimate gimmick. His success has depended upon his athletic gifts and his ability to improvise. He is not and never will be a disciplined player who can succeed in multiple systems. As such, his style can't be replicated by other teams or QB's.

In his prime, he caught folks off guard, but as he has aged and slowed down, his glaring deficiencies as a QB become more and more obvious. They were always there but his freakish athletic gifts covered for them.

He is done and I, for one, am hopeful I dont have to watch this douche ever again.
He is still better than anyone on the Jets, Arizona, Minnesota, KC, Buffalo and maybe Oakland. He will be employed somewhere next year.

Yeah we are not getting any help from Detroit.

Browns are starting some T Lewis dude I've never heard of

Take your pick on the QB who will choke last in that game.

God Mark Sanchez is bad.

23-17 da bears.

Lions are literally handing this game
Lions are literally handing this game
True 4 to's and the Bears are only up by 6? If they get in they're going to be an easy out for the 49er's.

Gtothearry 12-30-2012 03:44 PM

Colts have got the Texans it seems

Gtothearry 12-30-2012 03:45 PM

26-24 Chicago. 6:55 4th

I'm sure much much more is to come tomorrow.

Hell, even that great coach Schwartz (who turned the Lions around) is even on the hot seat.

Gtothearry 12-30-2012 03:56 PM

Shows what disarray the Jets are in by announcing the Sparano firing while the joke R. Ryan is still around.

Gtothearry 12-30-2012 04:02 PM

2 minute warning 26-24 Bears w/ball @Det 21.

Chicago wins by 2 with 4 to's by the Lions.

Congrads Lions, you are now officially the most useless team in the NFL.

Bye bye back-up playoff option.

Lets crush those ****ing cowboys tonight!

Gtothearry 12-30-2012 05:03 PM

Seattle have the 5th seed locked up unless SF loses? There isn't anyway Minn sneaks into the fifth right?

Edit: Yep Seattle is locked into the 5th spot.

JoeRedskin 12-30-2012 06:09 PM

If Seattle wins and SF and GB lose then:
Seattle and GB end up 11-5;
SF is 10-5-1.

In which case, the bad call at the end of the Seattle/GBay game gives Seattle the 2nd seed.

Re: Around The NFL Week 17

Adrian Peterson is lucky. Dude has fumble issues and lucky to have that turnover reversed (or likely will).

Why can't we have refs to call a personal foul for us like they did for GB. Horrible PF call.

NC_Skins 12-30-2012 06:33 PM

Re: Around The NFL Week 17

Wow. Dude comes directly back from that near fumble to erase a 2nd and 27 hole for a first down. He's 64 yards away from the records with 1-1/2 quarter left.

Gtothearry 12-30-2012 06:34 PM

Can't believe A. Peterson realistically has a shot at Dickerson's record.

Wait I thought it was a penalty to throw a flag on a play that was auto reviewed?

EDIT: And that is still the dumbest rule in the sport.

I put in a Seattle win and a Seattle loss with a GB loss and SF win and Seattle stays in the 5th seed. I don't think their is anyway Seattle moves from the 5th seed. GB will play Minn next week and we will play Seattle.

Lol, that is BS either way. He throws the challenge flag after they call for the review? That is bogus......

If the rule committee doesn't do something about that rule, they are crazy.

who knew if it gets buzzed in the you throw the flag you are good to go. I like Nelson's quick thinking though. Quite devious.

Plug in an Arizona win, a Minn. win, and a Seattle win - Seattle ends up in the 2nd seed.

Moot b/c SF is going to win and Seattle ends up in 5th seed.

Re: Around The NFL Week 17

I was hoping GB would just let him score seeing as how the game was already over, everyone knew he would make that field goal in the dome. Oh well, still deserves the MVP but it will go to Manning.

mooby 12-30-2012 08:01 PM

Re: Around The NFL Week 17

Yeah I was rooting for him to break it too but team rewards (i.e. playoffs) will always trump individual records, and that's the way it should be. Good for Peterson though breaking the 2k mark. I'm rooting for him to take Comeback Player and MVP this year. Manning had a good team around him from last year, but I feel like everyone will ignore that. Peterson carried that Vikings team to the playoffs this year.
