Around The NFL Week 17
I hope everyone had a great Christmas!
Week 17 always sucks for me, It's basically the end of football season and lately (basically for 20 years) the Redskins play their last game this week. That's all changed now, I already have the playoffs pretty much marked down. Bears will lose to Detroit in a Big Upset, and GB will roll Minnesota but what makes it even better? The skins will defeat Dallass at home in primetime in our biggest game in a decade! HTTR, Enjoy the finale of the NFL Regular season.

McNabb: Philly is finding out that getting to the playoffs isn’t easy | ProFootballTalk
Apparently McNabb thinks him and Dan Marino are in the same league. Not close.

Yeah, about as stupid as this comparison. Michael Vick on Robert Griffin: He reminds me of me - NFL.com RGIII reminds Vick of himself? Even in Vick's best year, he couldn't even touch the numbers (or talent) that RGIII has displayed so far. Listen to this dumbass and his ego. Quote:

Re: Around The NFL Week 17
Beneath the well deserved hype of RG3 emerges another Incredible Redskins Rookie - The Amazing -
...........................Alfred Morris........................ Alfred Morris Chasing Two More Washington Redskins Records in Week 17 | Bleacher Report *He is currently tied with Hall of Famer Charley Taylor. The running back turned wide receiver set the mark in 1964. *Now Morris has a bigger franchise landmark in sight. He is 104 yards short of the Redskins record for rushing yards in a season. The current record is held by Clinton Portis. He rushed for 1,516 yards in 2005, helping push the Redskins into the playoffs. Morris has a good chance to beat that mark, based on the last time he played the Cowboys. In Week 12's 38-31 win in Dallas, Morris powered his way for 113 yards on 24 carries. He averaged 4.7 yards a carry and scored on a 1-yard run. Morris has a strong chance to repeat those numbers against the Cowboys' 17th-ranked run defense. |

Don't downplay vicks impact while in Atlanta, he carried that team for a while and was the most exciting player the league had seen in a while. That being said he's not or was the passer Griff is but a runner he was just as talented as RGIII.

Re: Around The NFL Week 17
I'd give the edge to Vick in the running dept but there's no comparing them as passers. RG3 is light years ahead of Vick in that regard, also in pocket presence and being able to read a defense. And then there's the work ethic and character comparisons, again Vick simply can't match up.

Re: Around The NFL Week 17
Vick in Atlanta was nothing but a glorified RB. Nothing more, nothing less. Carried the team? Not hardly. That team had good RBs (Dunn) and a decent defense lead by Abraham and Brooking. Let's not act like Vick carried the team. He didn't. If anything, he hindered that team due to him lacking ability at the QB spot.
