If we get a win going into the bye week I can see us finishing 7-9 or 8-8. I would consider either of those records a successful season.
In what world is 7-9 a successful season. Losing = success? Interesting concept.
Absolute truth. We can beat anyone with RG3...we can lose to anyone with this D. Mike would get alot more of my respect if he would admit there needed to be some major changes made with this defense and not allow his son to send the most talented QB this franchise has ever had..who by the way is just coming off a mild concussion...out as a WR where he is fair game to LB's and DB's who are drooling to get a shot at him. WTF man???
MY guess is that he was not suppose to throw to RGIII unless he was wide open.
The complete lack of talent minus RG-3 that you see is completely Shannys problem. Cant say the cake is bad but the baker is good.

Re: Should Mike Shanahan be fired?

This is a silly thread. Our offense is finally good and our defense got screwed as a result of the salary cap penalty. We had a bad game on offense yesterday with a bad case of the drops. No Fred Davis, no Garcon, lots of dropped balls. It looked like the players on offense were playing tight against a great defense. Our secondary is garbage without having Orakpo there to lead the pass rush. Even with the current coaches, I think we could improve a lot with some good free agent targets and draft class to fix the back end and build more depth in the front. A middle of the road defense with this offense would have us competing for the division title. Anyone remember the calls to fire Tom Coughlin before his superbowl run? Why fire the guy who has put us right on the cusp of where we want to be? Fire Haslett? Maybe, but only because I believe he has limited upside, not because I think he is incompetent.

It's delayed/deferred success buddy. I just figured out most of the Warpath contributors are K-12 teachers :silly:

The shannahans really are not the problem, and while people want to complain about the wins and losses, this team is inarguably going in the right direction. The one man i would be willing to clean house and start over with is Jon Gruden. Him and griffin would form the most entertaining, swagger-based football tandem in the history of football, and could be very very talented. That being said, the last thing i want is griffin to go through what jason campbell went through with the spinning door of coaches, coordinators, etc that could have contributed to his struggles to ever establish himself.

exactly, thats kinda why I fear Kyle leaving because RG3 has thrived in the system in such a short amount of time. When Kyle leaves I hope they bring somone in who sticks with a similar system at the very least.

No, he's gonna be an HC somewhere and win multiple SBs over the next decade. It will be awesome. I can't wait.
^^ Arguably the biggest criticism/indictment of the regime to date. We threw millions at FA, at an enormous opportunity cost, and used a high round pick on another WR, and yet the WR corp is a "major disappointment."

For the life of me I cannot grasp how people point out the repeated failures of this regime, but then say they're getting it right or will get it right, given another few years.
Agreed offense been a bit worst every week but not bad its still good.

Our wr. Been not that good other than moss now .

People ovee hype shanny alot we will have another losing season but its bexause we refused to fire haslett last year.
