I just caught sight of this mock draft. It was the first mock draft I've seen where it has Indianapolis taking RG3 1st overall and has Washington taking Luck 2nd overall. It looks really odd.

A month ago if someone said who would you rather take Griffin or Luck, most of us would have said Luck. Now i feel like most of us would say RG3.

Anyone else a little worried we might lose Griffin?

No, because I'd be just as happy taking Luck. There's a reason why Luck was being touted as the #1 overall pick 2 years before he declared. I mean are we seriously trying to devalue Luck like this? Luck is still plenty mobile enough to fit in Shanny's system.

People seem to be forgetting the Redskins moved up to the #2 overall pick because there are 2 different qb's the Redskins like. The Redskins aren't sitting there hoping the Colts are dumb enough to pass on Griffin. Maybe he's their first choice, but Luck is no "woe is us" consolation prize.

Honestly, I'm partial to Luck since I've watched him for the
Last 3 years and know what he is all about. He would fit Shanahan's system as well as Griffin and will add that he's not afraid running people over when he scrambles ( seen it many times).

I wondered the same thing. Possibly they are just not burning bridges in case something bizarre happens and Luck is not available in the draft.

It sure seems to. I know the Colts brass can just go to Baylor to work RG3 out if they wish, but if you're going to draft a guy it only makes sense to bring him into your house and introduce him to all your staff and make him feel comfortable.

It's like when you have friends over to the house for the first time and you give them the grand tour. :)

I feel the same. But I also find that friends typically WANT the tour for reasons I do not understand.

Anyhow, bringing Luck to Indy is likely more than just a house tour. It is day one of his on-the-job training as a Colt.
