Again, trying to put it on presentation is just dishonest.
The hatred for the shanny regime has definitely become more intense in my mind because of the "apologists". All of my posts about shanny started in a devils advocate way. The more i read opinions from both sides, the more i saw the "haters" side - which for me will always be first and foremost - wins and losses. All the other stuff - the presser the questionable personnel moves - haslett- discipline and the news from httr 24-7 have just cemented my initial skepticism into cold hard evidence for a change. |

Why feed the troll? Plus, Goat there are plenty of other teams to go cheer for. Go pick one that makes you happy. Football is escape from reality; if the skins and this web site are causing huge amounts of frustration for you go somewhere else. I heard Houston is having a good year. Houston Texans Fan Site & Message Boards - TexansTalk.com I am sure more then a few people here would pitch in to get you a hat or jersey. Would you prefer a Watt one or Schaub? |

Thanks for clearing that up. I didnt last very long on ES. Lol. This whole LL thing started by Joe Redskins question "who is he"? Have been so confusing to me. Especially woth laron landry and lance lewis floating around. Lol think i got it now. |

Re: Should Mike Shanahan be fired?
Was just thinking, two of the last three Redskins head coaches came out of retirement to coach the Skins. The third guy is a journeyman QB coach on his third or fourth NFL team. (Chiefs)

Again, trying to put it on presentation is just dishonest. Edit: I think mods can forget how much their insertion of opinion, however inconsistent with reality, influences discussion etc etc. You have sycophants, toadies and bootlickers like NC who can't help themselves from agreeing with people of authority. That's an extreme case, but there's probably some reasonable, thoughtful Skins fans who just avoid discussion here because at times it's been more about rooting for a failed regime than a franchise.
Sorry but you couldn't be more wrong. Funny you bring up people avoiding discussion, because I know plenty that have recently and it's not because of why you seem to think. It's quite comical how you see things really. Paranoid much? |

Re: Should Mike Shanahan be fired?
I didn't particulary like Shanahan when we brought him here. It's pretty easy to check. But I was happy as hell Vinny was gone and we had a real GM. I was willing to give him a chance and changed my sig to reflect it. I've been excited at times. Especially about RG3. But now I think the flaws are coming out and the things I didn't like about Mike then are the same they are now. He's the same guy they got rid of in Denver. I think we are better off in some areas since he got here and would now like to see what a new offensive minded young HC and an experienced motivated (unlike Haslett) young DC could do. If we're sticking with the 3-4 than get an experienced 3-4 coach. I haven't researched guys but there is certainly some talent out there. I had no idea who Mike Smith was until he became coach of the Falcons. Mike's gonna be what he was...he lost his team his owner his defenses the last years sucked and we've all heard the micromanaging egomaniac stories. We have a GM and some young talent and probably the best QB or one of the best in the NFL. Thanks Mike for helping to clean house. Let's move on now.

Well several years ago i went on. Didnt really post that much but noticed a couple mods were just ruthless. Some other poster said something to that effect. I replied something to the effect of - yeah they're rough around here and they gave me a peahead. That made me angry i used rude language basically inviting the boot and got it. Was alittle to lacking of the constitutional rites for me. Than i went back on a few months ago and there were a couple of posters who would strait up call you a dumb mother****er for a view or opinion. I never once used inappropriate language just responded to the guy to relax. Another poster in boxed me and said " hey i hear you he is an asshole but dont say anything hes got pull". I figured that if i couldnt express or defend myself it wasnt a board i wAnted to be on. Than i literally got booted off for not wishing devin thomas good luck when he retired. Lol. I swear to God that is basically how it went down. One of the mods checked my ip address or sonething and figured out i got the peahead and booted off before. I was banned for life at that point. |

First, well said. I agree with almost all of this post - except I am not ready to jettison MS and start from ground zero again unless we end up with 5 or fewer wins this year. Let's see how he finishes out the year. At this point, based on what some of the insider's have said, it seems that MS may have lost much of the team. Certainly Haslett appears to have lost the D. If we have a collapse, no turnaround whatsoever, I think it is a legitimate conversation to ask okay, not seeing it Mike. If on the other hand, he pulls it out and we finish in 7-9 or 8-8, I got no problem with giving him one or possibly two more years (depending on next year). |

To say it is just for the bashers isnt fair - alot of defending in these parts. Its all just opinion on both sides of the fence. People are sick of the bashing. People are sick of the defense. Im glad that HTTR 24-7 interjected. Brings alittle bit of credibility to what was once considered angry rants of non-fans. Punch ... do you feel obligated to respond to every post made by someone else? I am just curious what would happen if you had a thought you did not express - would the voices in your head drive you to kill? Root for the Cowboys? or would your brain actually explode?

I kid, I kid. It's all good. I just laugh everytime I look at your post count.
In response to this i say: I am on tapatalk usually. It is much easier to post in the same threads because there is a " participated threads " tab. So i tend to post in only about two or three seperate threads for long periods of time. I figure this gives plenty of room for people to not be annoyed by my post count and also allows me to quiet the voices in my head. Edit: not to toot my own horn but i think sometimes i make some pretty good points, but instead of people saying - " i never thought about it that way" (even if they are thinking that) they say - your annoying thus leading to more posts from yours truely. |

You, SS and a few other active mods have repeatedly defended this specific regime and negated skeptics and their posts. Name one active mod who clearly states the regime is a failure? There are nearly 70% of people that voted in this poll that would, as you say, give MS at least another year. The poll is completely anonymous. What's the benefit in agreeing with me or SS?? As SS said, GM isn't a big fan of MS. So there's your mod. Happy? Frankly I'm not a big fan of MS right now, and I don't think SS is either. At the end of the day we just don't think firing him is necessarily the best answer. There's a little more grey area to things than you seem to be willing to acknowledge. I guess ultimately what you're saying is you're right, and there's no room for discussion. Anyone who disagrees with you is clearly an idiot, an apologist, and probably a moderator, or someone who is a mod bootlicker. See where I'm going? I'm guessing you won't. |
