The only food I eat from a tube is barley and hopps!

even if there had been a living will the parents would have taken through the courts as they have the word of mouth and T.S. would still be around a long time. Do some research on living wills.

What about research re: living wills?

A living will, if done properly, pre-empts any claim that the incapacitated person actually would have wanted to be assisted in X, Y, or Z fashion. Sure, someone can bring a lawsuit to say the incapacitated individual actually would have wanted to get or not get life support, but if that claim conflicts with the living will, the living will pre-empts that claim.

Very well a living will is to allow nature to takes it course. Not feeding an individual is NOT allowing nature to take it's course

Re: Terri Schiavo

I understand your point, but a living will can say whatever you want it to say. You can have a living will say I don't want a feeding tube. Or, you can have the living will say I want a feeding tube.

I haven't read the previous posts on this since Friday, so if I repeat anything that's been said, disregard this post...

I read that the husband has had children with another woman already so why in the hell is HE in position to be saying what is best for Terry? I say that when you essentially "move on" that your rights as that person's caretaker go out the window.

he does have children with another woman, however is still married to Terri, and is still primary caretaker in the eyes of the law, and now the courts...he's been offered money countless times and has been asked to divorce, in order to turn over the role to the parents to no avail...

not saying it's right, just saying it is what it is...

No doubt. Rest in peace.

At least all this crap will finally be over with.

The way chosen for her to go wasn't the agreeable with a lot of people, but I personally just hope she's at peace.

Me too. Now I hope that the families can begin healing and not have to make it harder by going through legal battles.

The media frenzy around this has been incredible and almost sickening.

I'm actually kinda interested in what the autopsy results will be.

Tom Delay went way over the line today with his comments. He has no respect for our judicial system.
