Re: 2012 Redskins Draft Day Thread: Round 1
Hey, Dolphin fans! Feel bad that you couldn't lure any of the free agent QBs to Miami? Sad that you couldn't trade up to get the player you really wanted?
You may want to try this fantastic new concept: SETTLING! Can't get what you really want? Settle for the closest thing. Hope that works out well for you! |
Amazing how much Tannehill's stock rose, and yet, it didn't really rise as a result of his play. That usually doesn't work out.
|
The NFL really needs to fix the timing between the actual draft and the broadcast. It's pretty bad when the broadcast is actually lagging behind all the picks being made.
What did Gruden say about RG3? Also love the RG3 avatar, but needs to be re-sized imo.
We'll fix it tomorrow, but tonight we're going BIG! |
Re: 2012 Redskins Draft Day Thread: Round 1
Rg3 being good solves a lot of problems for this moribund franchise.

I think I just saw 4th and 5th picks to move up.

In case anyone was going as nuts as I was at the Thursday Night Football commercial.

Ah, 4th and 6th is correct. My bad. Let's hope this is a busted pick!

NFCE is loading up tonight
I'm at work and I didn't see- what did Dallas give up to move up 9 spots? Had to be a pretty penny.
A heck of a lot less than Washington traded to move up only 4 spots. The irony is Washington's original pick was #6. And Dallas ended up picking 6th. Sent from my Xoom using Tapatalk 2 |

KILL ZE COMMISSI0NER!!!!! FLETCHER you must killz him!

NFC EAST teams are certainly being aggressive. Willing to bet the giants move back though

They're preparing to stop 2014 RGIII and beyond. |
Re: 2012 Redskins Draft Day Thread: Round 1
you guys think gruden had any truth to what he said about rg3 and the bubbles and deep ball throws he made. i think he has some truth behind it but i think rg3 is good enough to adjust and make throws on other routes
|
Re: 2012 Redskins Draft Day Thread: Round 1
Poor Rams. Everyone is trolling them picking Wide Receiers right before they pick.
|
Re: 2012 Redskins Draft Day Thread: Round 1
Rams have no help for Sam still smh

Gruden is a douche. He should have been man and asked RG3 about that during the QB show, instead of joking around with him. --- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?vx4dxr |

Indeed. So far 3 of the NFCE teams have upgraded big time. |

And I think it's safe to say RGIII is a bit more of an impact maker than Claiborne. Sent from my I own Sandtrapjack device using keystrokes of fury. |
Re: 2012 Redskins Draft Day Thread: Round 1
Another talented but likely to be underacheving LSU player off the board. Did anyone see Les Miles before the draft? My God. All he did was recite stats, no personality at all. It's like "if I say the words then the 5 star recruits will come." "Uh yeah Mooch this is the first time X program has had X players drafted in X amount of years, graduate kids blah blah blah, random stat random stat."

Save 2006 where the 8-8 Giants won the division. |
Re: 2012 Redskins Draft Day Thread: Round 1
Ugh, not seeing another pick for so long is sooooooo awful!
Welcome rg3 |
Re: 2012 Redskins Draft Day Thread: Round 1
Browns and Dolphins made mistakes IMO, especially CLE
|
Re: 2012 Redskins Draft Day Thread: Round 1
Marcus Spears, Glenn Dorsey, Tyson Jackson, and now Michael Brockers. Something about that school.

Sent from my Xoom using Tapatalk 2
It seems to me that you are implying the redskins were daft and did a very dumb move while the cowboys used acumen to move up skillfully and get the player they wanted. I think it's comparing way too different situations. Redskins had to compete with another team that had a very big war chest to spend on draft picks for a highly coveted player at the most important position. Supply and Demand. |

I didn't see anyone else who could really help the Dolphins long term besides Tannehill and Tannehill knows the system so it's not a bad fit. Either way theres always something about the 3rd QB in deep QB drafts. Big Ben, Jay Cutler, Josh Freeman. No one expects them to do anything and they end up surprising everyone. |
Re: 2012 Redskins Draft Day Thread: Round 1
I am baffled as to what the Rams are doing. Am I missing something?
|
Re: 2012 Redskins Draft Day Thread: Round 1
They need to get off this Irvin kid, that is tacky to put him out like that IMO

I agree but I think they could have traded down and got him still |
