Pats have the easiest schedule in the playoffs, they'll play either KC or Houston.

Re: Week 17
I hope we beat the packers so these announcers have to at least acknowledge the Skins season.

Only if the Bengals win and I still don't know if Dalton is playing. He still has the cast on until tomorrow and usually it is 2-3 weeks rehab after that. Not saying they would wait that long this time, but usually that is the case. Plus I wouldn't count on Pittsburg being as easy out. |
Re: Week 17
So do we play Saturday or Sunday?

Re: Week 17
Odd I thought they usually did 1 AFC and 1 NFC game each day. I guess they base the slots on likely ratings.
The Packers stink. Can't block and can't get open. That being said, Rodgers can beat us, so don't put your carts before the horses. Definitely my favorite match up out of the 3 though.
Put this in other thread but since discussing matchup here... Playoffs are a different animal but for sure they are flawed the most with a star QB. IMO, key will be to keep Rodgers in pocket. Most of their success is bootlegs and roll out. They struggle to protect pocket, collapse quickly. Plus skins secondary isn't good enough if Rodgers is able to roll out and extend play. So keep 12 in pocket and get him to the ground consistently! HTTR |

I thought it was odd too. Plus surprised Seattle , a west coast team, plays at 1. Sent from my S6 Edge |

I have watched NFL network for the last hour and they have done zero commentary on the Skins. I am not sure they even mentioned the Skins, even I figure they must have.

Re: Week 17
Green Bay's offense right now is about 25% Lacy and 75% improvisation by Aaron Rodgers when he is flushed out of the pocket. That WR core is pretty uninspiring and they never seem to get open unless Rodgers is buying time running around. Most of the big plays made were when Rodgers was outside the pocket. Very similar to what you see with Russell Wilson.
Even with out banged up secondary I think the defense has enough to contain that offense. As far as Green Bay's defense goes? I think we have enough weapons to put points on them. The biggest key is to be up by more than 7 as the 4th quarter is winding down so you remove the "Rodgers magic" element from the game. I expect he will make a few of those plays throughout the course of 4 quarters, but the key is not to lose the game on one of those kinds of plays. |

Re: Week 17
LMAO....Johnny Manziel has gone AWOL and Cleveland is acting like they have lost contact with him.
So Cleveland will definitely take a QB with the second pick. They could add RG3 or Kapperdick for a competition barn. |

It all started when they lost Jordy Nelson for the year back in training camp. Hopefully that bodes well for us but I feel like as soon as teams sleep on the Packers they are able to take control. No way we take this for granted though. |

True shit. It sounds like the Browns and Manziel are both sick of each other. Dream scenario is JJ takes on Manziel. I just don't see him maturing enough within the next couple years to be a competent starter. He is acting like one of those guys that is going to have to bounce around for a little bit before he realizes his opportunities are running out. |

Mike and Mike today went off on the entire Brown situation ,NO GM ,No head coach and even when hired both report to different people ,WTF??? |
Re: Week 17
GB at home is not the worst thing that could have happened. I'm not too encouraged about how the D allowed Kellen Moore to put up 400+ yds...I realize we were sitting some players, but still...if there is a liability on this team it is the Defense, which isn't great news when facing a future hall of fame QB. Hopefully they can get it together.
If we can somehow win two more games, we could end up hosting Seattle for the NFC Championship! |
Week 17
Kellen Moore threw for the most overrated 400 yards in NFL history. It was basically a preseason game for the D especially after the 21-0 lead.

^ This. I wanted to play GB. They are a mess right now. The Vikings gave GB some life by not being able to close. I think we'll beat the daylights out of GB. We won't ease up on them or try to fumble the game away like Minnesota did. I definitely did not want to play Seattle. They are way too strong right now. |
Re: Week 17
I'm glad we aren't playing Seattle so I don't have to listen to every analyst on every channel and site slobber all over them. Commentators talk about them like they are 16-0. Vikings are my 2nd favorite team this weekend. That and Seattle fans are all professional trolls. Guaranteed they are already all over every Vikings board/article flapping their gums.

Re: Week 17
Green Bay has the weakest defense out of the teams we could have possibly ended up playing against in the Wildcard round.
If we go on to lose to the Packers it shouldn't be because we aren't putting up points. |
