I may be reacting late to this, but I'm a bit amazed at the notion of teams possibly giving up a first round pick for J. Garoppolo. If I'm a QB-needy team, I'd rather take a gamble on Tyrod Taylor over Garoppolo. It's like teams didn't learn from Matt Cassell.

JG has more upside, bigger arm, more mobility, starter in college. Cassell didn't have any of those things.

Yup. Always respected him as a player even though he wore the star. I liked the way he went about his business, he was dominant but he let his play do the talking. Happy he got a ring, even gained some respect for him after I read about the troubles his wife and him had conceiving.
