I would prefer that we get a right tackle, a guard/ center before we do anything. I can not take another season of Polumbus and Chester on roller skates.
And I can't take another season of Santana Miss, Josh Morgan gaining zero after the catch and Hankerson folding to the ground whenever he catches a ball. I agree with you on Polumbus and to a smaller extent Chester. I'd be cool with Anthony Collins at RT and using a guard from within or a 3rd round pick. |
I would argue that the secondary is the single biggest need on the team.
Secondary could be as big a need as O-line in terms of talent deficiency and mistakes, but I look at it this way: when the secondary makes a mistake, they're not putting the health of the Redskins' most important player in jeopardy. |

Good. Gumbs has a strong motor and could develop into a contributor. |

Same goes for Chester, Carriker and possibly Wilson, if Wilson stays. Just those restructures/cuts will save us a buttload of money, and after all is said and done, we should still have around 25 - 26 mill to blow even after the 11.5 franchise tag orakpo money. We are in a good position, and no first round pick too. We pretty much HAVE to be players in FA this year, no two ways about it. |
Re: Redskins Free Agent Re-Signings
If Wilson stays I'm boycotting this team. How many years am I going to have to watch Josh Wilson get burnt/turned around/otherwise suck? If we keep him, it better be for depth purposes only. Start Hall, Amerson, Crawford (if he bounces back) and then MAYBE Wilson.
Otherwise, I swear to God, Wilson should be the first name on top of the cut list. |

I'd love to draft LaMarcus Joyner in the 2nd or Ricardo Allen in the 4th-5th to take over the slot. Neither are prototypical NFL prospects, but both are just great football players, in every way. We need more of those types on our team. |
Re: Redskins Free Agent Re-Signings
lol Wilson isn't even under contact for this year and he's still catching shit. I doubt they re-sign him.

If Riley isn't resigned, that's going to set our defense a long ways back. Replacing both ILBs in one offseason shouldn't even be an option for our FO. Riley must be resigned; if he goes out in the market to test his worth, which looks inevitable, hopefully he finds out that no one will pay him over 5 million a year. |

He's certainly not going to get anything close to $35M over 5 yrs and I doubt he would even get anything close to what Butler just got. How about 5 years $15M? He does have some leverage knowing that we really need him here. |

It was pretty damn bad with him on the field. Riley is a drafted home grown guy but he just isn't a playmaker or a difference maker. Plus he gets exposed in coverage. We have too many Perry Riley type guys on this team. We need competition at almost every single position on defense. That would be my attitude if I were Gruden/Haslett. |
Re: Redskins Free Agent Re-Signings
i could live with 4 yr 22 mil, 10 guaranteed.

Re: Redskins Free Agent Re-Signings
No way he gets 3/22 or 5/35 on the open market. My guess is he comes back at a significantly smaller contract than he expects.
