Re: Around the NFL week 1
things that stood out from yesterday:
Defenses and sloppy offenses...Rams, Jags, Cowboys, Eagles, Green Bay and Baltimore defense looked really good. Fournette is really deal...guy looked really good and that Jag oline isn't great. Giants were worse on offense than us...Eli doesn't look good at all. Seattle offense is concerning right off the bat....their Oline isn't great. What a shit show by the Texans and Cincy at home. Im disappointed but those teams looked far far worse. Carson Palmer...stick a fork in him.
Some of those def looked good due to the Offenses they played.. Dallas lost scandrick which is a bad loss. The giants looked awful, Odell or not.. Eli looks old and done. Houston is overrated IMO, good D but not special and they have no Offense. Jets may go 0-16, prob 1-15. Wentz looked like Big bEN yesterday, dude was breaking tackles left and right. Colts are trash, Luck needs to sit all yr. Seattle will win that bad division by default but they wont go far, Russ cant carry a bad line like an elite QB (Rodgers, Brees) can. SF sucks, so much for that revamped offense. Cam cant pass, dude is so inaccurate. Overall a very boring week 1. |
Re: Around the NFL week 1
Goff actually looks like an NFL QB now. Big props to McVay.

Re: Around the NFL week 1
It's going to be real interesting game next week against McVay, real interesting. Wade Phillips probably is probably smiling ear to ear looking at the tape of the Eagles game.

And Aaron Donald should be back. Great |

To me he's got the most arm talent from that draft class, Mcvay will build a winner there in no time. |
Re: Around the NFL week 1
Anybody catch Romo in the booth? He's been getting good reviews.

If given the choice I would take the Rams coaching staff over ours every time. Most of that is because of Wade Phillips, but I think McVay/Gruden is at best a tossup and more likely McVay. |
Re: Around the NFL week 1
I'm torn, I want to drive up from SD to LA to see the game, but based on the play of our team vs the play of the Rams, seems like it might be a terrible investment of time and money.

He was calling plays pre snap, it was pretty impressive |
Re: Around the NFL week 1
Giants looked like shit! Reese should be fired!(NOW)For three years now he has let the O line go and Eli is paying for it ,he is getting killed back their and it all so explains the lake of a running game ,the D got worn out in the first half!

No but I heard his first interview was Phil Simms. |

Yea man, I know we looked bad but not that bad. You guys looked like a 7-9 team last night. Dallas actually should have won by more but they aren't as great as advertised anyway. |

I thought Giants and Redskins would be 2 best NFCE teams. After 1 game I was way off. Both looked like shit and a lot was to do with o line play. I thought our line was good, and I'm hoping it was just 1 bad game. |

Same group and staff, I can't sit here and say we have all of the sudden gotten that bad.. It's the typical skins week 1 woes.. 5 straight now, that is a joke. I think it gets back to normal this week with pass pro. |

I hope so. Now about the run blocking? Should we just give up ever expecting to run the ball regularly? Almost seems like Gruden looks for an excuse to abandon the run. I don't care if we only get 3 yards per carry, our rbs should always combine for at least 20 runs. Gruden needs to get it thru his head that Cousins isn't elite. Needs run game, and playaction, and screens, etc. |
