Why is that?
Well several years ago i went on. Didnt really post that much but noticed a couple mods were just ruthless. Some other poster said something to that effect. I replied something to the effect of - yeah they're rough around here and they gave me a peahead. That made me angry i used rude language basically inviting the boot and got it. Was alittle to lacking of the constitutional rites for me.
Than i went back on a few months ago and there were a couple of posters who would strait up call you a dumb mother****er for a view or opinion. I never once used inappropriate language just responded to the guy to relax. Another poster in boxed me and said " hey i hear you he is an asshole but dont say anything hes got pull". I figured that if i couldnt express or defend myself it wasnt a board i wAnted to be on. Than i literally got booted off for not wishing devin thomas good luck when he retired. Lol. I swear to God that is basically how it went down. One of the mods checked my ip address or sonething and figured out i got the peahead and booted off before. I was banned for life at that point.
I didn't particulary like Shanahan when we brought him here. It's pretty easy to check. But I was happy as hell Vinny was gone and we had a real GM. I was willing to give him a chance and changed my sig to reflect it. I've been excited at times. Especially about RG3. But now I think the flaws are coming out and the things I didn't like about Mike then are the same they are now. He's the same guy they got rid of in Denver. I think we are better off in some areas since he got here and would now like to see what a new offensive minded young HC and an experienced motivated (unlike Haslett) young DC could do. If we're sticking with the 3-4 than get an experienced 3-4 coach. I haven't researched guys but there is certainly some talent out there. I had no idea who Mike Smith was until he became coach of the Falcons. Mike's gonna be what he was...he lost his team his owner his defenses the last years sucked and we've all heard the micromanaging egomaniac stories. We have a GM and some young talent and probably the best QB or one of the best in the NFL. Thanks Mike for helping to clean house. Let's move on now.
First, well said. I agree with almost all of this post - except I am not ready to jettison MS and start from ground zero again unless we end up with 5 or fewer wins this year.

Let's see how he finishes out the year. At this point, based on what some of the insider's have said, it seems that MS may have lost much of the team. Certainly Haslett appears to have lost the D. If we have a collapse, no turnaround whatsoever, I think it is a legitimate conversation to ask okay, not seeing it Mike. If on the other hand, he pulls it out and we finish in 7-9 or 8-8, I got no problem with giving him one or possibly two more years (depending on next year).

A "Goat Quote". I think we have a new catch phase!

I think this thread has gone from absolutely ridiculous to sonething worth discussing and it has some people doubting what they were thinking about Shanny just three weeks ago. To say it is just for the bashers isnt fair - alot of defending in these parts. Its all just opinion on both sides of the fence. People are sick of the bashing. People are sick of the defense. Im glad that HTTR 24-7 interjected. Brings alittle bit of credibility to what was once considered angry rants of non-fans.
Edit: ridiculous to those who now see some merit in the question not me personally.

Punch ... do you feel obligated to respond to every post made by someone else? I am just curious what would happen if you had a thought you did not express - would the voices in your head drive you to kill? Root for the Cowboys? or would your brain actually explode?

I kid, I kid. It's all good. I just laugh everytime I look at your post count.

In response to this i say:

I am on tapatalk usually. It is much easier to post in the same threads because there is a " participated threads " tab. So i tend to post in only about two or three seperate threads for long periods of time. I figure this gives plenty of room for people to not be annoyed by my post count and also allows me to quiet the voices in my head.
Edit: not to toot my own horn but i think sometimes i make some pretty good points, but instead of people saying - " i never thought about it that way" (even if they are thinking that) they say - your annoying thus leading to more posts from yours truely.

Anyone know the record for posts on a thread? My voices were just curious.
Sorry but you couldn't be more wrong.

You seem to hold being a moderator in an oddly high regard. We're just here to keep the discussions flowing and keep the spammers, assholes and trolls out. That's it. Our opinions aren't some sort of calculated mass conspiracy. Nor should they be held in any higher regard than anyone else's.

Funny you bring up people avoiding discussion, because I know plenty that have recently and it's not because of why you seem to think.

It's quite comical how you see things really.

Paranoid much?
First of all it's way too small a site/community to require a mass anything. So let's just say it's coincidence. You, SS and a few other active mods have repeatedly defended this specific regime and negated skeptics and their posts. Name one active mod who clearly states the regime is a failure? That's the bottom line. What difference does it make how we got there (coincidence vs collusion)?

And you guys are way too smart to not realize how much sheep mentality takes over within any institution/organization. C'mon.

So 150 say at least wait till end of season, and 11(10 since SS voted for fun) think fire the bum now, and you pin that on sheep mentality. That's great.

Are the 38 that say wait till after the end of the season lost sheep yearning to be free but too blinded by The Great Mod Conspiracy (coming to a theatre near you, this conspiracy has not yet rated by the MPAA)?

C'mon man.

Huh? The poll shows 70% do not believe Mike should be fired now or after after the season, meaining give him at least one more year, right?
