Arrington...
Do you guys want him back? He makes me sick. I'm 6'2" 290 and by no means fast, I don't think he could cover me. I have 6th grade girls in my class who probably weigh 70 lbs. who could run through him.
|
Re: Arrington...
Nah you can keep him.
Other than our team tankin things are good here without LA. Real sad it didn't work out. Was gonna be such a beast. Gone and done. |
Re: Arrington...
i saw just about the whole giants game and you are right, arrington is horrible. if he doesnt pick it up, he is going to be out of the nfl in a hurry
|
Re: Arrington...
he got hurt, slowed down, and isn't the same.
we said that when you guys got him though. |
Re: Arrington...
Coverage was never his strength anyway.
He just hasn't been the same after that knee injury. Despite what he says and all the pissing and moaning he did, I'm not sure we'll ever see that same explosive player. |
Re: Arrington...
lavar who???

I watched and/or listened to the whole game and around the end of the game I started looking to see if Arington was even playing. I never heard his name the whole game. I missed the play but can anyone tell me what McNabb did with Pierce to get the penalty. I heard the announcers talking in the game and how he was tauting Pierce or something like that thinking the game was in hand.
|
Re: Arrington...
Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa...whoa...whoa.
Who? |
Re: Arrington...
Basically McNabb walked up to the line of scrimage, faked an audible or something, but he gave too much body movement trying to draw the defense off sides. It looked like it was very intential on his part.
|
Re: Arrington...
Wasn't he injured yesterday and carried off the field?
|
Re: Arrington...
Don't worry, he will have the game of his career against the skins. 4 sacks, 2 FF, 18 hurries, 2 INT's and a hit that will end Brunell's season, and a lot of fans here might thank you for that last one.
|
Re: Arrington...
I dont understand why everyone spends so much time on a guy thats not here. I thought you would move on and let him stink it up no matter where he went. Everyone was so grateful he left, but everyweek there is another LAVAR thread. Leave it alone. We all can have our LaVar thread after we beat the Giants (hopefully!)
|
Re: Arrington...
Well since LaVar spent so much time talking about it in the public, we feel obliged to return the favor. It's not like his issues with the Skins, his injury and his agents happened in a corner. He was, and still is, on the mike talking about every chance he gets. So we as fans feel some vindication in his slight demise, unfortunately.

Re: Arrington...
a giants fan started this thread so dont blame the skins fans

Knowing what a stickler you have been in the past for LaVar it's neat what you have to say. The guy's gone now, and so far we've had a LaVar thread every week. This time last year we were completely littered with LaVar, LaVar, LaVar. It's worse than TO, and it's also time to let it go, we have enough problems with what we're trying to deal with on our own team without incoperating someone else's problems. |
Re: Arrington...
LaVar is water under the bridge. I wish him well.

I am a LaVar fan. But I am a Redskin fan first. I cracks me up how people rag on him all the time, but can't seem to forget about him and keep posting stuff. I, of course, am only contributing to the madness! |
Re: Arrington...
He is out of gas!
Can't wait to see him in 3 weeks |
Re: Arrington...
Is anyone else really distracted by that wierd facemask he wears? i've never seen another one like it. It looks like something a GI Joe would wear.

So your the oldest, biggest 6th grader the world has ever known? Just kidding dude, dont feel too bad the Giants are actually wiser than most teams with suspect players. In LA's contract the team benefits not having to pay him for the time he misses so if he still is not producing more than 1 tackle a game hope he gets injured so the team can save money. How's Sinorice coming along? Send him to the Skins just for a novelty. |
Re: Arrington...
He was good because of his speed. Never was the consistent reliable get the job done guy. Never the power guy. Never the full package coverage/run guy.
He was what he WAS...amazing...because he reacted quickly to a play and got to the ball like a missle. Well, now that he isn't even fast for a linebacker, just average i'd say...so you have a guy out there who doesn't cover well, doesn't stuff the run well, doesn't take care of his assignment well, and therefore doesn't play well. Think about all of his great plays, he flew across to make a tackle, ran down a guy like he was standing still, caved in aikmans head on a play where 99% of other linebackers wouldn't have gotten close to him before he was out of bounds. You add speed and every bit of that changes......I hope he doesn't find that speed against us. |

Sorry there Coggs I have been saying it for 3 years the guy is horrible, he was a stupid head before he started having injuries, it's amazing what the NFL hype machine can convince people of how good some players are regardless of how bad, from what I read you guy's were smart enough not to get to wrapped up with him contract wise if I am correct on that, he will have to perform to make the big bucks. But he's all your's good luck! |

I believe you also referred to him as a "poopy-pants" on several occasions. |

Eventually his agent will get into his head that he needs to pick up the stats and then he will start running wild just to get his tackles and they'll get burned because he did not stick to his assignment. |
Re: Arrington...
that sounds like what has been said around here the last couple of seasons. no discipline

Well his agents are done for two years, aren't they? Not sure how they can advise him at this point. |
Re: Arrington...
I wonder if Lavar's knee problem isn't degenerative. I was worried that he would be healthy and return to form all quick like, but he keeps getting slower, and slooowwwwerrrrr, and sssssllllllooooowwwwwwweeeeeerrrrrrr....
At this rate he'll be out of football next year. |
Re: Arrington...
Is he the pass rush threat you need?!
|
Re: Arrington...
Dammit, I wish Bruce Smith and Deion would come out of retirement.
