Here we go...Dallas is coming to town!
Ok guys let'er fly this will be the last matchup this year between the two biggest rivals in professional sports (Yankees-Red Sox is right up there too).
We will NOT get this opportunity for one full year after Sunday. We need to get some blood flowin here. What are the predictions and justify them. Spread as I hear it now is -3 in favor of Dallas....been a while since Dallas has been favored at Fed-Ex. Does Campbell make his first appearance? The difference will be the 12th man if you ask me. The noise the fans make at Fed-Ex will make it tough in Dallas on third downs. |
Re: Here we go...Dallas is coming to town!
Yea i think it's dallas -3. Brunell will be the starter and all i can say is that it needs to be loud and GWilliams need to get some good blitz packages running now that our corners will be at full strength.

Re: Here we go...Dallas is coming to town!
Dallas Sucks. But they will win.
|
Re: Here we go...Dallas is coming to town!
Brunell starts (and finishes) = Cow-Whores 21 - Redskins 10
Campbell starts (more than 3/4) = Cow-Whores 7 - Redskins 35 |
Re: Here we go...Dallas is coming to town!
I see a blowout coming, but Im not sure which team will be on top.
|
Re: Here we go...Dallas is coming to town!
It does not really feel like Dallas week becasue we are just a bad football team. Dallas is the better team and they should win the game. But it will probably be close as it will be Dallas' 2nd straight road game and the Skins are coming off a bye. Our o-line seems to always have trouble with the Dallas d-line.
|
Re: Here we go...Dallas is coming to town!
Skins 38-17.
You ask why? I ask why not? |

It hasnt really felt like Dallas week for the last 15 years, but we gotta get excited about something right? |
Re: Here we go...Dallas is coming to town!
Women say men have a one-track mind. I can see evidence of that with this poster. :-(
I guess Campbell must play really great defense to hold Dallas to 7 points. After all, the other teams aren't getting (many) points on turnovers. I have absolutely no idea how this game will turn out. I think getting Springs back will have a big impact on the defense, but I may just be delusional. I hope the OLine does a reasonable job this game, but I don't know what to expect from them either. If Brunell feels pressured he'll have Thrash around for more plays; he seems to come back to the QB when he's under pressure and usually ends up on the correct side of the first-down line. If we are going to switch out Brunell because of the pressure we should put in Collins! He showed a classic case of working through nerves during the preseason, and in his last appearance looked good except for when he had time to throw the ball. Of the three, he was the fastest (by far) unloading the ball. In addition, it wouldn't be fair to Campbell to start his career running for his life. I won't be able to see the game because I'll be in Mexico. Let's hope (in hindsight) I regret not being able to watch the game! (I'm actually out 2-3 weeks.)
Brunell starts (and finishes) = Cow-Whores 21 - Redskins 10 Campbell starts (more than 3/4) = Cow-Whores 7 - Redskins 35
|

Campbell starts (more than 3/4) = Cow-Whores 7 - Redskins 35
this is a totally ridiculous statement. unless brunell gets hurt, he will play the whole game. and i really think this will be one of the best games played by the skins this season. they are running out of time, and excuses |

I agree. I think Brunell will come out sharp and have a little pep in his step. what I want to see in this one is some damn turnovers by the Skins D. You just cant win in this league without them. I also want to see Cooley involved more and PLEASE O line, push somebody around. Skins 24 Boys 21 |
Re: Here we go...Dallas is coming to town!
The thing that concerns me is, admittedly, Dallas has only beaten ONE team this season that has a winning record. Just one, and that was last week.
All of thier other wins have come against teams that are well below .500 It depends on which Dallas team shows up really. And I don't care who you are....it does not matter what the records are when these two teams lock horns. Records go right out the window. It has happened many times in the past when Dallas was a Super Bowl contender and Washington was struggling, the 'Skins would pull off a win. Likewise when Washington was a Super Bowl contender and Dallas was 1-15, that one win was against the Redskins, who I believe won the Super Bowl that year. Any given Sunday, especially when it is Dallas and Washington. |
Re: Here we go...Dallas is coming to town!
I'm with Daseal. It won't be close, but I don't know who to pick.
|
Re: Here we go...Dallas is coming to town!
The Redskins fan in me REFUSES to believe that they won't step to the plate, and get it done. Dallas has the momentum..............Playin' in our house..............New QB in D...........excuse me, gotta' go throw up again

YOU CANNOT THINK LIKE THAT!!!!!!!!!! POSTIVE THOUGHTS ONLY!!! ITS DALLAS WEEK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Re: Here we go...Dallas is coming to town!
Moss is the only guy in our passing attack that keeps Parcells awake at night. If he can't go (bum hamstring), Dallas will stack the box with 8, and sometimes 9, and dare Brunell to beat them downfield. That will make for a punishing day for Portis, setting up many 3rd and long situations. Not a pretty scenario.
On D, I'm hoping the Skins put Springs on the faster Terrry Glenn, while Rogers gets T.O. with Taylor helping over the top. Speaking of Taylor, both Dallas WRs are intimidated by his presence. I'm hoping for 2-3 jaw-rattling hits from #21. The guy who scares me coming into this game is Whitten - he and Romo demonstrated outstanding chemistry last week against Carolina, and we have great difficulty covering athletic tight ends with either Washington or Archuleta. |
Re: Here we go...Dallas is coming to town!
die dallas die
|
Re: Here we go...Dallas is coming to town!
On a positve note How many balls did TO drop last meeting? Taylor (the shark) cruisin' in the area?
If Moss can't go, we have the talent and depth at WR for someone else to step up.............we'll see |
Re: Here we go...Dallas is coming to town!
Our o-line seems to always have trouble with the Dallas d-line.
Uh, do you remember how our Oline made Phillip Daniels look like combination of Reggie White, Mark Gastineau, and LT last year? The Redskins are going to bring everything at Romo, and we don't know how he will react. Sure The Carolina Line is good, but they disappear - like their star Peppers. I think this Dallas team just woke up with Romo and the comeback win in Carolina. I'll stop riding the fence now... Dallas 34 - Redskins 10. |

I guess your right. I just can't get excited becase this is a bad team that's overpaid and going nowhere. |
Re: Here we go...Dallas is coming to town!
One of the things you CANNOT help but notice about Taylor is his proximity to the ball on vitually every play. If he is not involved, he's close. The WR's are well aware of it. While I think he has a little to much of the U in him at times, I can't deny his ability, and especially his intimidation factor.

Re: Here we go...Dallas is coming to town!
Cowboys handle Business! Sorry Redskin fans this isn't your year bring on Campbell!

Re: Here we go...Dallas is coming to town!

I smellllllll Bledsoe in the near future. Once Romo meets a healthy defense with two weeks to prepare for a rookie QB, the cries for bledsoe's return will follow. This guy is capable of throwing 5 pics in a game, you have seen those ducks he throws when he gets into trouble. I think he will be able to move the ball, but he WILLLLLL make mistakes this week. Sean Taylor is gonna be well rested, loooookout T.O.!!!! |

Once he doesn't have to cover two thirds of the field, I think you will see him make more plays. Arch is not helping him. Secondary has been injured/weak and why you got rid of a character guy at SS that Taylor listened to I will never know. |
Re: Here we go...Dallas is coming to town!
I'm gonna scream with every ounce I've got. 12th man will be roaring if I have anything to do with it! GO SKINS!!! WE WANT DALLAS!!!

I do agree he has more than he can do, and............Arch isn't helping. He is spending way to much energy making ALL the tackles. |

The flaw right now is that GW is seriously holding back on the blitzes with his CBs out. So instead of dominating the game, Arch's weaknesses are getting picked apart by QBs who have time. It's not Arch's fault per say, rather the fact that he was brought in here under certain conditions and those conditions are quite different now days.
The missed tackles however are his fault. But that seems to be a back 7 wide problem. The LBs don't tackle either. I miss Ryan Clark. |

Re: Here we go...Dallas is coming to town!
Man I told you guys since the offseason that the Arch acquisition would hurt you he has to many flaws and sorry but I believe he will be a mayor part on the loss this week. Him and brunnell
Campbell should be in but I guess he ain't ready he's still listed as the #3 QB not Good |
Re: Here we go...Dallas is coming to town!
If the skins win, great they beat the cowboys, they lose we are one loss closer to finally seeing JC play in a freaking game!!
