Romo Has Johnson Behind Him...Ramsey Denied Again
Yes, I was using a double entendre there

Re: Romo Has Johnson Behind Him...Ramsey Denied Again
I wonder how many games Romo will be allowed to suck at before Wade pulls him in favor of Johnson? I also wonder how Brad plays against us if such an occurrence happens?
|
Re: Romo Has Johnson Behind Him...Ramsey Denied Again
i hate brad johnson, he is terrible anyways
|
Re: Romo Has Johnson Behind Him...Ramsey Denied Again
Well, if my count is right he's 2-1 vs. the Skins since they dumped him. All games were in Washington too.
You really have to wonder what Brad Johnson has left. |
Re: Romo Has Johnson Behind Him...Ramsey Denied Again
I am very disapointed in Brad. I guess he will have to change out that faceplate at his parents house to a cowboy logo. I hope that we do not have to play against him. But, thanks B-rad for inflating the cowboys salery cap room with your contract.

Re: Romo Has Johnson Behind Him...Ramsey Denied Again
Well this makes the second horrible signing for the Cowboys. They might as well have just kept Drew Bledsoe.
|
Re: Romo Has Johnson Behind Him...Ramsey Denied Again
I dont think it even matters who they have johnson or bledsoe they're the same QB, exact to the cell
|
Re: Romo Has Johnson Behind Him...Ramsey Denied Again
Couldn't happen to a better team! They both deserve eachother. BJ sucks. Period. I hated him when he was here!
|
Re: Romo Has Johnson Behind Him...Ramsey Denied Again
I don't know why people are dumping on Brad Johnson so much. After all, he does have a Super Bowl ring and none of our QBs have one yet. Heck, I would've loved to have had BJ backing up Campbell if we didn't have Brunell.

You're right, but so does Trent Dilfer! Right place, right time. Vastly overrated. |

I would puke to ever have BJ back in DC. Who cares about the Bucaqueers? He didn't get us a RING! There D got him a ring in Tampa, he sure didn't do squat, he's good for dink and dunk....and lots of INT's They benched him this year for a reason....HE CAN'T PLAY! He's on the farewell tour, with a clipboard! |
Re: Romo Has Johnson Behind Him...Ramsey Denied Again
Damn that Gibbs, denying Ramsey from his destiny yet again!

B. Johnson was a heck of a better QB than Dilfer ever was. As a backup I wouldn't mind having Johnson, but his starting days are clearly over. |
Re: Romo Has Johnson Behind Him...Ramsey Denied Again
I think Brad Johnson is undervalued. He is a proven winner. He never had the rocket arm, but was a leader, made good decisions, was accurate, and good under pressure. The Skins offense was pretty good with him under center and Stephen Davis in the backfield. He loved being a Redskin, but was treated poorly, basically losing his job not due to performance, but due to Snyder wanting to play Jeff George. Imagine the stability we would've had at the position had he stayed in town. I'd take him in a heartbeat over Brunnell right now.
|
Re: Romo Has Johnson Behind Him...Ramsey Denied Again
I have never gotten why Skins fans bear so much animosity towards Johnson. He played great for us then, imo, got a raw deal as part of that whole 2000 free agency fiasco.
Of course now that he's a Cowboy I'll be rooting against him....still, seems like some people just despise him for no good reason. |

He is quite the underrated quarterback that can be deadly to teams who think just like you. The guy knows how to play the game. |
Re: Romo Has Johnson Behind Him...Ramsey Denied Again
So.....your saying......we still have a chance right?lol. I like him so much I just hope he gets a job somewhere. Preferably one we are playing this year so we can clobber the team.

Re: Romo Has Johnson Behind Him...Ramsey Denied Again
The Ramsey trade worked out for us after all. WE got a 6th rnd pick right? Who'd we draft? Was it Golston w/that pick?
If Collins leaves lets bring Ramsey in to hold the clipboard! (Mods: a poll idea: Who is more likely to come back, Lavar or Ramsey?) |
Re: Romo Has Johnson Behind Him...Ramsey Denied Again
They perhaps just want Johnson for his veteran leadership to aasist with Romo's development. Bledsoe had an inflated opinion of himself and still think's he can play, he wasn't going to stay, so Johnson for them is a choice for his experience.

(Mods: a poll idea: Who is more likely to come back, Lavar or Ramsey?)[/quote] It was actually Reed Doughty that we selected with the pick netted for Ramsey. At least Doughty is still on the Skins, so by that measure, we got the better end of that deal with the Jets. |

You can't blame Brad for going to Dallas. They are paying him nice $ to be a back-up. What else is he going to do that's going to pay him more? |

The difference is that Johnson gets intercepted in doing so, and Brunell doesn't. Both are ideal backups at this point in their careers.

I think if Dallas calls on him he will be much more successful than he was in Minnesota this year.
He's been underrated his whole career, but if 2006 is any indication (it may or may not be), he's at the end of the line. |
Re: Romo Has Johnson Behind Him...Ramsey Denied Again
johnson had a bad deal in 2006. no WRs, no TEs, and a backup RB. I wouln't say his stats in 2006 were completely accurate to his ability.

Re: Romo Has Johnson Behind Him...Ramsey Denied Again
You cannot deny that the man had huge heart and passion for playing the game.

Re: Romo Has Johnson Behind Him...Ramsey Denied Again
Exactly.....Remember fellas he was the last QB to lead the Skins to a Division Tile......

Re: Romo Has Johnson Behind Him...Ramsey Denied Again
Ramsey may be going to backup Cutler in Denver or to the Texans. Either way he is a backup. As for Johnson, I did like him, thought he did well, you have to admit he was a better choice then George. But hopefully he is crap if he has to come in for an injured Homo. Glad to see the Cowboys are over paying has beens and never was. Hope they get the same result we have had the past few years and get ridiculed in the papers.
