re: Update: Seattle Trades LB Aaron Curry to Raiders
How can the "safest pick in the draft" back in 09 (Vinny's last year of destroying the team) end up being shopped? Just goes to show you, no such thing as a sure thing on draft day. That or the Seahawks are really dedicated to suck for Luck.

re: Update: Seattle Trades LB Aaron Curry to Raiders
this guy is a beast but in a bad situation in Sea. He has great work ethic and a great locker room kind of guy. look at all those Lbs in Seattle that have just gone missing...something is not right over there. Put him with London and you he will prove his worth.

re: Update: Seattle Trades LB Aaron Curry to Raiders
Am I the only one here that thinks we should go after guys who fit in as a 3-4 inside backer? No offense to Curry but we've already taken one 4-3 outside backer and tried to convert him to a 3-4 inside backer and it hasn't exactly worked. It doesn't matter why he's irrelevant in Seattle right now but I just don't see him being a good scheme fit here. Besides, something makes me concerned that he was regarded as the safest pick in the 2009 draft and 2 years later he's being shopped. Different regime or not if he was a playmaker he shouldn't have had that much of a problem fitting in.

re: Update: Seattle Trades LB Aaron Curry to Raiders
Mcintosh is looking great.
|
re: Update: Seattle Trades LB Aaron Curry to Raiders
I think this coming draft we should be drafting a MLB to replace London when he retires. It would be great for our young rookie LB to learn from London. As for Curry we should have very little interest in him.

I agree, this year Mcintosh has started to play really well. |
re: Update: Seattle Trades LB Aaron Curry to Raiders
Curry was supposed to be the next Patrick Willis

lol, SS early with the zingers this morning. Seriously though, I hope Kyle got his hand smacked with all that 4th quarter stuff last week. Big Shanny said top ten in carries for the year, Run should be Kyle's Mantra |
re: Update: Seattle Trades LB Aaron Curry to Raiders
Meh, only reason you make a trade in-season for a LB is to fill a dire need on a team that otherwise would be going places. Like the Eagles.
We're not in that situation. |
re: Update: Seattle Trades LB Aaron Curry to Raiders
I thought Curry was going to be a force at LB in this league, which I am sure puts me in the same league as most people who were paying attention to the draft that year. Not sure what has happened to him but I dont think we need to bring him in here. Hes not really a 3-4 ILB and we dont need a project right now.
|
re: Update: Seattle Trades LB Aaron Curry to Raiders
Haven't watched him in Seattle, but maybe he's better suited to be a smaller 3-4 ILB? They had to pay him a pretty big deal, so maybe that's the motivation. If there's not too much left on his rookie deal you'd think they'd keep him, unless his play is really sub par.

re: Update: Seattle Trades LB Aaron Curry to Raiders
They're shopping him because he stinks... like a bust.
|
re: Update: Seattle Trades LB Aaron Curry to Raiders
Wow. I remember how highly touted Curry was during the '09 draft. What happened?

Think he started focusing on art, heard he was into sculpturing busts and rapping like Busta Rhymes |

seriously? Even if you're joking, he struck me in 09 as a guy that's pretty well rounded, maybe he just isn't much driven to bust heads anymore. Pass rushers are often busts in the NFL, but all around OLBs like him aren't. I'd have to think about who the last pure LB was that was a bust. |
re: Update: Seattle Trades LB Aaron Curry to Raiders
Seattle is having bad luck with draft picks.
Tatupu went from Pro Bowler to bust really fast due to injuries. Curry. Okung isn't on the field much (we made a great choice...wasn't sure at the time though). They need Andrew Luck and I think they may get him without intentionally trying to. The Bengals have Dalton and he's looking good, the Panthers won't need another QB, Buffalo and Cleveland will no longer be in the bottom tier, Minnesota should win a few games just by having Peterson, St. Louis is better than their record. It's looking like Seattle will take the prize. Kansas City will be down there with them but I don't think they're looking to replace Cassel. Miami will be the one team they have to worry about that will be bad enough to contend for the top pick AND needs a QB. |

Matty: He is not living up to the standard you would expect from such a high draft pick but he does not stink... |
re: Update: Seattle Trades LB Aaron Curry to Raiders
If we got a replacement for Fletcher, it's Burfict the MLB from ASU
|
re: Update: Seattle Trades LB Aaron Curry to Raiders
I agree, he may not be the second coming of patrick willis, but the guy is not that bad. he would start on over half the leagues LB corps

re: Update: Seattle Trades LB Aaron Curry to Raiders
As a Demon Deacon, I saw Hail yeah let's get him! I am biased clearly -- AC is still a little raw but is a sure tackler, has good speed & strength, average coverage. He is not worth 4th overall but certainly a capable starter, especially in a 3-4.

We're not in that situation.[/quote] and when you say going places your refering to heading south..... right? If a team is doing well and is supposed to be the "dream team" then they have no need for a LB, however if your supposed to be the "dream team" and your team is losing then perhaps you look at other personell. |
re: Update: Seattle Trades LB Aaron Curry to Raiders
finally Rocky is playing like a beast .. let him be .. I've always thought #52 could smash some heads .. there are "moments" .. just "moments" where he almost reminds me a little of good ol LaVar ...

re: Update: Seattle Trades LB Aaron Curry to Raiders
I can see him in Carolina. Hope Dallas does not go for this guy. I never saw him as a must have cant miss type from the 2009 draft. My can't miss player was B. J. Raji.

re: Update: Seattle Trades LB Aaron Curry to Raiders
To simply say "pass" is a little premature. What if we could get him for a 5th or lower. I'd say he'd be worth a look.
