By simply naming RGIII the starter does not kill/deflate any unwanted "hot button" media attention. The unwanted attention will always be there.....if RGIII is given the starters position and continues to play like has the last two years the heat only will be tuned up.
The only thing that will negate the unwanted "hot button" media attention you all are talking about is winning....and making the playoffs regardless of who our Qb is.
So naming RGIII your starter in February does nothing.
Do you feel better that he was named starter on February 18th? Will the media be less critical of RGIII?
Which is why I float the idea that our new astute GM is posting the for sale sign in the front yard for the #5 pick because it could be MM a prized QB. Let the bidding/negotiations begin.
