I think the timing of this announcement and it being screamed loud from all media is very draft related.
Now all of you RGIII fans can tell me how wrong I am and RGIII is Gruden's (Snyder's) favorite.

I don't think someone disagreeing with you has anything to do with them being a fan of RG3. The reason I disagrees with you is because RG3 status as a starter has been a hot button issue since 2013 season. I believe if we wanted someone to pay the king's ransom for Mariota. I think it would make more sense for us to give the impression that might draft him. That's just the way I see it.
