I'm not trying to be morbid, but at 73 you have to wonder how much longer he has. He could peacefully die of natural causes / "old age" before the alzheimers destroys what life he has left. It sounds like right now, he is doing really good. I understand the speed of it is different for each person. Some people have it for years on years before it gets bad / noticeable, while some people that get it are gone mentally within just a few years....
