Good post. HC is a leader of men and sets the tone for the whole team. Maybe Ben Johnson has the right qualities for HC and would be good at finding his own OC. But the lesson from teams like Texans, Ravens, and Lions may be that you need a boy genius coordinator, not necessarily a boy genius HC.
