The head coach should oversee the team .. the issue with a coordinator running the entire team is it splits their duties , I would much rather have a OC and DC that there only job is just that .. Factor in that with essentially Rookie Head coach who will be multi tasking for the first time that's a lot of unknowns..

Good post. HC is a leader of men and sets the tone for the whole team. Maybe Ben Johnson has the right qualities for HC and would be good at finding his own OC. But the lesson from teams like Texans, Ravens, and Lions may be that you need a boy genius coordinator, not necessarily a boy genius HC. And on Slowik, the more I watch CJ Stroud, the more I wonder who’s making the other look so good?
