For those that missed it on top of washing out what was suppose to a game tying goal the refs also called 3 consecutive penalties on the Caps (consecutive meaning the Stars had three powerplays over the course of 7 or 8 minutes in the second period). The worse one came before the second powerplay. Schultz stick was broken on a slash, without a stick Schultz checked a Stars player into the board. The slash was ignored and Schultz was called for boarding.Thank God this was just a regular season game.

i damn near lost it then, it really was a shit show those refs were blind. i mean it was as obvious as can be right in front of the ref he hacked at shultz he lost his stick and schultz gets the penalty? do refs ever get fined or lose some of their games checks for blowing the game?
