Kobe Bryant Suspension

Did anyone see this play that Bryant got suspended a game for "hitting" Manu Ginobili?

I think the NBA is way off here. Any thoughts?

Re: Kobe Bryant Suspension

Yeah, I saw it and I am not sure what to say. It looks more than incidental to me, but that might be due to my preconceived notions of Kobe.

He seems like the kinda guy that would start doing dirty stuff if he is mad or if you are playing tight defense. He is also the type that is arrogant and would claim he didn't mean to. I hope he didn't do it on purpose, but I would not be surprised if he is lying and he did it intentionally.

Wrong forum section btw

Re: Kobe Bryant Suspension

Kobe clearly did nothing wrong and everyone on this planet knows Manu Ginobili is dirty player and a big time flopper.

Ginobili is a flopper, but I still am not sure about Kobe. I hope he didn't do it on purpose.

I am not a Kobe hater by any means. I respect him alot, but at the same time I could imagine Kobe doing that.

Why? Because some dumb ass chick willingly went up to his hotel room at night? You don't go to a man's hotel room without expecting a little action. I'm not saying he raped her or that rape is OK but let's not pass judgment because we really don't know WTF happened in that room.

My sisters know better, and my daughter is sure as hell going to know better than to go up to a hotel room all by her self with a stranger.

well kobe you were gaurding him the whole night, he is just a big lying dick mongrel

Re: Kobe Bryant Suspension

I never thought Ginobili was a "dirty" player. I've never heard anyone say that before. He plays harder than almost anyone ... I guess that could be interpreted many different ways. Everyone thinks Bruce Bowen is dirty too -- I think he just plays incredible defense. Huh, I guess people aren't really used to that in the NBA.

As for Kobe, I think he's a great player. A little selfish, but great nonetheless. My problem with this incident is that Ginobili blocked the shot from BEHIND. How does Kobe manage to hit him with his forearm when Ginobili is BEHIND him? I can't really think of any possible way to do that incidentally.

I think the NBA made the correct judgment.

He plays hard for sure and he is a good player but he is one of the biggest flopper's in basketball if not THE biggest. I have seen him against the Sonics quite a bit (both in-person and on tv) and the man is a flopping machine.

How does that make him dirty, rather than just being cheap?
