anyone else working today?

I can't believe I'm working today. Everyone I know is off.

Normally we get every holiday off and even some of the ones that not everyone has like MLK. We do get out at 3 today so I can't complain too much, but still, it stinks working when everyone you know is off!

I contemplated working today, but opted not to. I need the cash since I'm in law school, but I'd prefer to talk to people here at thewarpath.net and catch up on my ESPN Insider reading.

I'm an insurance adjuster, I swear we're the only insurance company in the area that's open today. Kinda odd because we get so many holidays off but not today.

my neighbor had an adjuster at his house just the other day....a ton of smoke damage to the house caused by a small fire in the laundry closet. i could swear my neighbor started the fire on purpose (not really)....they're actually going to come out of this better of than before the fire thanks to there insurance.

I'd rather have worked new years eve since we closed at 6 instead of opening the next morning.
