Re: Housh wants to be an Eagle
When was the last time any of us heard of the Eagles getting a free agent in their thirties?

I doubt that. You can't tell me that if one of your favorite skins players approached FA and let it be known he'd rather play for another team, that it wouldn't bother you. Really? One of our best young players?

Re: Housh wants to be an Eagle

Re: Housh wants to be an Eagle
Okay, but the Eagles have been getting decent WR production for each of the last 5 years. This move wouldn't make a lot of sense for them, although they certainly could afford him under the cap easily.
I just don't see them as a better team. If Jackson develops, Housh plays the No. 2 role, and forces Curtis to the No 3, which essentially eliminates young up-and-comers like Baskett and Avant entirely. Doesn't seem like an Eagles type move, but desperation can do funny things to you.

Quote:
He's a free agent and you've gotta be somewhere other than the Bengals.. as a free agent there's nothing wrong with saying you're interested in the offers that you'll receive.. if a team can trade a guy and put him on that block then a free agent can mention his willingness to change teams anyways, he just wants a new team and will play for the right money Now before you go e-mailing your friends and telling them that the Eagles are going to sign Houshmandzadeh, keep in mind that he's making the rounds. He also spoke to a Chicago radio station yesterday, and actually praised Rex Grossman. "You know what's funny, man? Y'all probably going to laugh at me when I tell you this; I kind of like Rex Grossman," he said. |
