Who was it that said Allen kinda sounds like Gruden? He sounds a lot like Gruden to me, he even has some of the same facial expressions when he talks. It's weird.

Alright sorry for making the reference to Cheany. I was just proposing the idea that the underling had more power and influence then the head guy. Please no more politics.

Dude, seriously if you are this disgruntled with the Skins maybe you should jump on a current winning teams band wagon and then come back here in a year or two, damn

I have sirius and marty does a show on there and he has on many occasion been asked about snyder and has always said the same thing, he likes snyder and his passion but he loathes vinny and said snyders problem was vinny 100%. remember marty fired vinny.

Re: Shanahan presser thread

just got home and saw the first visual footage of the presser, i really like the fact that snyder walked in with allen and shanny, shook shanny's hand and then took a set with the rest of the onlookers instead of sitting up there with them, maybe he is finilly getting it, i sure hope so

side note i'm in love with shanny after his first refernce to snyder was "dan"

gonna be a good offseason can't wait to see the team grow in the next few years HTTR!!!

Why does everyone assume that Snyder will interfere with them running our football team?
Because that's what he's always done in the past and we know old habits are hard to break. We all want to feel the way you suggest and hope him stepping back will be the case, but many are not throughly convinced mainly because his track record so far has not shown that to be true. Therefore, there are still some content to take the wait and see attitude.

Very weird. You would think they had hung out together all their life or were related.

Snyder looks like he's finally got it. Now let's see these guys roll their sleves up and go to work.

Yeah, I just reread the quote and while he criticized Snyder he also had good things to say about him. With Vinny, well he just laid into him, and given that story he should have. Guy was a snake, and personally I regret ever giving him the benefit of the doubt. I wonder what Vinny is doing now. Hopefully he's been excommunicated from Redskins park.

In other words he just had to learn how to hire the right guys then step aside, thats all he had to do to become a top tier owner. Sure it took him 10 years to do it, but the point is he learned from his mistakes. Now you have an owner willing to spend whatevers necessary that doesn't meddle when it comes to football decisions....hopefully.

Vinny on the other hand as a player evaluator, people person, and GM was a lost cause.

I'm impressed with Shanny, I predict if Portis stays, he will come in 25 pounds lighter and have that blazing speed we seen in Denver, and if not... his fat ass is gone!!!!!
