Let me speak in the same language that has been leveled at me and see if it makes it easier for you to see why I find the posts blasting Shanahan so obnoxious:

If you can't see that this organization is in a better place than it was 3 years ago, then you are a moronic Cerrato apologist.
Not if you measure success in wins and losses JR. Our offense is much better and our defense is much worse. Our record is the same. I dont want to hear about injures they are a part of the game. I dont want to hear about personell or asst coaches because that was Shannys choice. Bottom line is next year or the year after if they arent a playoff team it isnt because fans didnt have faith. Only time is going to tell but looking at the state of the current team as a whole and how it performs as a whole - not an offense- well it is no better than three years ago. It is younger but not better.

Re: Should Mike Shanahan be fired?

Allen has completely revitalized the culture at Redskins Park. The organization from top to bottom is in a much better place than it was under Cerrato. And that's largely because of Allen.

I'm going to assume you mean Martin Mayhew. Love the guy but how great is he doing these days?

Well if any of those qb's won he would have gotten credit. None of them have won. Atleast not more than they have lost. So i ask again credit for what?

Re: Should Mike Shanahan be fired?

Monday morning I voted Shanahan should be fired, turns out it was all emotion. Overall I think he has brought in some good youth and turned over the roster nicely. RG3 is amazing although Shanahan can't get full credit for that, he would have taken Griff or Luck, either would have been good but it was a preety much can't miss situation.

McNabb was a mistake because, although most will disagree with me, I think JC had more to offer and was always just in a bad situation. Don't get me wrong I'm happy that we have the QB we do now, but man my life is going to be cut short 20 years just from being a Skins fan. I say next year we need to be 9-7 minimum or Shanahan is fired.

Re: Should Mike Shanahan be fired?

Way I read it, people (well at least one person) are saying Rex/Beck were part of a poorly run Mike/Kyle offense yet RG3 is somehow performing in spite of Mike/Kyle offense

Well not to take anything away from Mike, but John Fox was smart enough to change his offense to fit Tebow and go to the playoffs so I don't think we're the only team who would have done the same with RG3. I'm not sure RG3 would have looked bad starting off in a more conventional offense either, he seems to be VERY intelligent but I do like the way they've brought him along. No complaints there.

I wouldn't say inspite or the Shanahans because I think they are drawing up plays that work well with RG3. However, RG3 could probably thrive in almost any offense because of his intelligence and versatility.

Re: Should Mike Shanahan be fired?

BTW I'm such an eternal optimist that I thought the Rex/Beck project was going to work. I really have no reasons to back it up but coming out of preseason I was thinking its gonna be hard deciding who to start because they're both just so good.

I will say that RG3 has certainly exceeded my expectations. I said this before the draft, I thought that Luck was far and away the best QB in the draft (I still think he's the best) and the gap between Tannehill and RG3 was not very large. I've been impressed with RT but RG3 is something truly special

End of the day we are still losing that is my problem. I have a tough time believing Rak and Carriker change that. If we lose to Carolina this weekend im officially on the MS must go train. At some point x's and o's and gameplanning on both sides of the ball have to be held responsible.

Where do you rank Sanchez and Tebow?

I have nothing against Tebow the person, but not the biggest fan of Tebow the player.

Sanchez drives me crazy, I really thought he'd be a solid QB and I think he can be but he's so inconsistent. I root for him though

Think I was dead wrong about Bradford. Thought he'd be the best QB in the league by now

Well we beat the Giants twice with Rex/Beck so I'd say that was some pretty good coaching there. I felt the same about Bradford SS. He's a good QB I think but he hasn't come close to what I expected.
