he signed a deal. everyone comes to the skins looking for money and he got above market at the time... then he went apeshit on the field. at the time it was a good deal for moss who willingly signed. the skins were smart to lock him up for 7 years.

the skins don't add money to current deals. when they made an exception for lavar, it was just to shut him up, and obviouly he never saw that money.

right now the colts and rams are better, cinncy and arizona are close. BUT we got 3 good WRs 26 or under, unlike the colts or rams.

Players don't hold out?

moss isn't going to be pissed... i originally felt his contract after the trade was more than fair, especially considering he hadn't produced much yet. the team correctly invested in moss.

lloyd and ARE are both young and it's the same thinking we had with the moss contract- invest now (at a seemingly high price), but reap the benefits should the risk pan out later (where you retain your WR corp in their prime at a below-market cost).

The "fun bunch" or "the smurfs"? I'm sure this crew will make a name for themselves. I can't wait for the new season!!

wooo hoo yea boy. Any combination those three with their speed and quickness will make defensive coordinators shiver. The field is going to look twice as big for DB's when we line-up in three wide reciever sets.

Not to mention teams won't be able to double team moss and load up the box to stop portis without paying dire consequences. We could have a very explosive offensive year next year, if everyone works hard in camp.

maybe if they're making close to vet min like portis or walker when the put up 1500 yard seasons. he could hold out, but i believe the skins would hard line, and right now there's depth so it wouldn't hurt nearly as much as if we had no one else. Plus holdouts tend to lose fan favor very quickly.

To me, the best part is that these guys all seem to fight for the ball. Yeah, they drop a couple, but what I mean is when the ball is in the air, they are going after it. In other words, not Jacobs.

ESPN says Randle El will be our number 2 receiver... Obviously that is presumptious but I wonder how Lloyd is feeling right about now? How did Dan sell this to Randle El, I remember reading in one of his interviews that it was important that he be a team's #2 receiver...

he sold it by saying "i'll give you 31 MILLION dollars".

I'm sure Lloyd feels fine, since he's finally on a winner. Wasting away in San Francisco or winning in Washington?!?! Hmmm He's going to be a major contributor too. I'm sure it's not a problem.

Well, yeah, there's always that...

I mean that with us just signing Lloyd and with El wanting to be a #2, do you think he guaranteed that specific spot on the depth chart? Obviously Gibbs would have to make that call and I doubt he would do that without seeing both guys in training camp.

i highly doubt they gauranteed anything beyond the contract. he'll be the KR/PR and WR #3 or #4. his production doesn't merit the #2 spot.

we'll see how they play in pre-season. i'm a big fan of open competition whenever positions are close.

Big plays all over the place. What team has enough depth and speed to cover Moss, Randle El, Lloyd, Cooley, and now Portis out of the backfield on a screen since Suanders uses his backs in the passing game. Whoever the QB is should have alot of options.
