I love people that are clueless
Well, you know this guy paid $50 for this jersey with a price tag of $1,300 and thought he would make a fortune:

While we are sort of on the subject, if someone is offering for sale an autographed jersey or other personalized memorabilia, what documentation is customarily supplied? Anything?

Usually they give a COA (Cert. of Authenticity) sometimes a pic of the player signing the item also.. I could be wrong in this, but i think the item you have linked is not actually autographed.. it's just a stitching of the players auto..

Yes, this is definately just a stitched thing, not really signed.
