Sam Bradford remains projected pick to Redskins

The whole allure to Bradford for me was that, hey, if we're picking between 7 and 12 in the draft, and Clausen is the first QB off the board, we might be able to land Bradford because of an injury, where the injury might be causing him to be undervalued. We could keep Campbell for a year, and turn the keys over to Bradford in 2011.

If we're picking in the top five (and only if we win can this not be the case, and we can only win if the Chargers rest their starters...and even then), whoever you would take at QB is going to play right away. And frankly, I don't think anyone wants to have anyone in this draft class at the top of their depth chart come August.

Run the I with Spiller and put Davis in front of him with Cooley on the line, DT and Moss on the outside. I know some of you will laugh at my wishful thinking! Whatever the Redskins decide to do I will support; however, could you be happy seeing Bradford drafted when Okung is on the board? Bradford drafted when Spiller is available, or Bradford drafted when Berry is out there?

If I remember right the Falcons O-Line gave up over 50 sacks the year before Ryan was drafted, and even though they drafted Sam Baker in the first round he was limited to 5 starts and 8 gp. They basically took that same line that gave up a large amount of sacks and with proper coaching got it to near the top of the league in terms of sacks allowed. Now I'm definitely not saying that we go into next year with the same O-Line, far from it in fact. Maybe the Falcons are the exception to the rule, maybe they had talent but the coaching was horrible. The point is we will probably have a revamped O-Line next year, and we don't need to spend a first round pick to do it. By the same token we would need to make sure that one of our 1st two picks is an O-Lineman, that much I'm sure of.

Basically the next Troy Polamalu or Ed Reed. Either way he's expected to get to that top tier by 2013. Could easily be the highest safety selected in the history of the league, he's that highly regarded.

If BA doesn't tell JC that we're sticking with him 100% I think JC will just sign somewhere else. There are probably several teams that would give him a multi-year deal and better security than Washington if he's not assured of a shot at being number 1. If we draft a rookie QB in round 1 or 2 Campbell will leave before the season. I know I wouldn't stick around to groom my replacement while getting hit after every pass.

We could draft a QB and LT in the same draft, I just think we shouldn't spend an early round pick on a QB.

Berry is a game changer. Everything in me says to draft the next best lineman (Williams) or Spiller, but it would be hard for anyone to pass Berry up. If I have to watch Landry in coverage for any longer I am going to go insane yelling at my TV.

I think the whole interest thing is to keep the media off his back about the Skins job which was probably already agreed upon prior to him talking to the Bills.

Who did DS and Vinny go see in the college ranks? Which QB's? I gaurentee Shanahan said those are who he likes, so they went out to see them.

Allen may be surprised how much better JC plays with an improved o-line. I know we can pick-up some FA's, but who's out there?, we are NOT one good lineman away from having a good o-line. We have 1 pick in the 2nd and no 3rd pick. So do we draft one in the 2nd and wait and get some more in the 4th if we use our 1rst for a QB? We can draft a QB in 2011, if there is no draft, Snyder can damn sure afford to outbid for one coming out. If John Elway or Peyton Manning were coming out it would be one thing, but I don't think anyone is comparing Clausen or Bradford to those 2. Don't forget, Locker comes out next year and I'm sure there will be others to get excited about. It was Sanchez last year. Let's face it, this line could use more than a 2nd and a 4th pick.

Mort has also been putting his reputation on the line saying that Shannahan is virtually guaranteed to be the next head coach of the Redskins. Keep in mind Mort also called the Redskins trade with the Bronco's in 2005 to get Campbell.

Incidentally Bradford is reportedly close to signing with Bus Cook (if he hasn't already). Cook is Cutler's agent as well so he already has a history with Shanahan.

Where do all these rumors come from? How does anyone know that we even want Bradford? We're going to have new coaches, new people in the FO....to me this is all a bunch of BS. On top of that Bradford is going to get hit once upside the head by Trent Cole and DeMarcus Ware and he'll be hurt. I like the kid but I question his ability to stay healthy.
