Hopefully Bruce Allen doesn't come out and say that because that would be a Vinny move and undermine the little confidence JC has now. I'm not even a JC fan, I'm trying to look at things pragmatically. We, as fans, get intoxicated when we see a rookie QB turn into a stud. Teams with successful rookie QBs already have a line and even an average RB to boot. Since LT broke Joe's leg the QB position has always been an issue for Washington. In the Super Bowls we won our trademark was an over-powering offensive line, not a star QB. Bring it back to smashmouth run-first-no-matter-how-many-people-you-have-in-the-box-cause-you-can't-stop-us-if-you-tried football. That is Redskin football. Run the I with Spiller and put Davis in front of him with Cooley on the line, DT and Moss on the outside. I know some of you will laugh at my wishful thinking! Whatever the Redskins decide to do I will support; however, could you be happy seeing Bradford drafted when Okung is on the board? Bradford drafted when Spiller is available, or Bradford drafted when Berry is out there?

If I remember right the Falcons O-Line gave up over 50 sacks the year before Ryan was drafted, and even though they drafted Sam Baker in the first round he was limited to 5 starts and 8 gp. They basically took that same line that gave up a large amount of sacks and with proper coaching got it to near the top of the league in terms of sacks allowed. Now I'm definitely not saying that we go into next year with the same O-Line, far from it in fact. Maybe the Falcons are the exception to the rule, maybe they had talent but the coaching was horrible. The point is we will probably have a revamped O-Line next year, and we don't need to spend a first round pick to do it. By the same token we would need to make sure that one of our 1st two picks is an O-Lineman, that much I'm sure of.

In my opinion Micheal Turner made that line a better pass blocking group. Plus, I believe they are a bit younger than the aging overpaid guys we have. You can coach talent, I dont believe we have any upfront. Dockery maybe, Reinhert maybe, but everyone else is either too damn old, injury prone or just sucks (Heyer!)

-Suppose he only told you

-It's possible to select your QB and LT of the future in the same draft. Long and Henne, Baker and Ryan

-I think I've said a few times that Okung should be the first choice. Not sure Spiller should be taken that high. He's tempting though. I think Berry will be gone and even if he's not I'd rather develop the safeties we have (maybe take Nate Allen later in the draft)

If BA doesn't tell JC that we're sticking with him 100% I think JC will just sign somewhere else. There are probably several teams that would give him a multi-year deal and better security than Washington if he's not assured of a shot at being number 1. If we draft a rookie QB in round 1 or 2 Campbell will leave before the season. I know I wouldn't stick around to groom my replacement while getting hit after every pass.

We could draft a QB and LT in the same draft, I just think we shouldn't spend an early round pick on a QB.

Berry is a game changer. Everything in me says to draft the next best lineman (Williams) or Spiller, but it would be hard for anyone to pass Berry up. If I have to watch Landry in coverage for any longer I am going to go insane yelling at my TV.
