Cap space is not as abundant for us as people think. Remember, the following need to be considered for resigning (or replacement) this season:

Plenty of others but they're not cap consequential.

Then next year we'd have to decide whether to resign or replace:

- Garcon You were great but see you later
- Perry Riley never great see you later (draft pick replacement)
- Chris Baker Pay that man
- Jordan Reed (big $) PAY PAY PAY that man

So as we think about all of our cap space we have to consider that money needs to be set aside for those guys, and if we're not going pay them, then we have to figure out how we're going to replace them before we consider bringing in an Alex Mack.

It's this kind of long view that leads Scot McCloughan to conclude that the best plan is draft draft draft, and resign your own. Mack is not a fit.

We have plenty of room to do whatever we need as long as it is not Albert dumb
