in the big scheme of things I completely agree. I think its fairly interesting in a league that looked the other way when med staffs would shoot up players with pain killers and gave players access to oral pain killers sometimes leading to addictions (hello Brett Farve), a league that sometimes looked the other way with steroid abuse, a league that likes to prop itself up with beer makers and openly touts the relationship with drinking and football is quite hypocritical.
Also weed has pain reducing qualities which can be beneficial versus heavy painkillers. Also treatment of cte and concussions have come to light: "Bennet Omalu, the doctor who discovered the first case of CTE in an NFL player and the basis of Will Smith’s character in “Concussion,” recently joined the board of a medical company researching whether marijuana could help treat brain injuries."
