In the 18 months of the FBI's most recent statistical compilation ( 1/14 - 6/15) the murder rate is up:

~10% in cities with over 1,000,000 population.
~12% in cities between 500K - 999K
~8% in cities of 250K-499K
~17% in cities of less than 10K


but you're probably right, I am certain the last year has reversed that trend.

All true...but over the last 20 years crime has dropped. But the pockets of violence remain mostly in liberal dominated cities of Philly, Baltimore, Detroit, Cleveland, Chicago with a history of dem policies and poverty pimps within the communities and local governments. Billions of tax dollars have been squandered.

That's why the gun control argument has zero validity...we aren't a crime ridden country, we are just a country who constantly over sensationalize specific events like mass shootings. It's not the availability of guns, buts it's the over coverage of the event.

Across the world is literally on fire. I would not step foot in South America, central America, Africa, Middle East, most parts of Asia, Russia, Ex Soviet bloc and even some parts of Europe.

Obama, Hillary, Kerry, and the State Department are 100% responsible for most of it.

The reason why it appears we have a violence problem is because that's what your regular corporate media continues to broadcast. Media and the government have found out a while ago that fear is a powerful aid in getting people to do things against their own interests and to sell shit. What's their aim? They want to continue with the military industry and gun supplying so what better way than to drum up fear about violence, terrorism, and gun control. The record amount of guns sold during Obama's 8 years is staggering. All because media and politicians fear monger people that they'll be losing their guns. Notice the conservative media and how they portray everything. It's always a "war on christianity"...."war on christmas"......"war on guns"....."war on free speech". Constant fear mongering and these idiots bite into it every single time. A lot of it has to do with the lack of education quite frankly and the mere mentality that's been drilled into their heads since birth.

You want to know how to bring some of that violence in inner cities down? Fix income inequality and help those people get out of poverty. As long as poverty continues to be a huge issue in America, the longer violence and murder are a mainstay in these inner cities. It's a direct correlation between poverty and violence. Nobody is saying give these people free money. No. Give these people a real chance to get themselves out with real wages and real benefits. Most of the people in poverty certainly don't want to be there. (regardless of what your shitty ass media pundits/racists/bigots tell you)

One more point of note about the RNC this week. I certainly think that Ted Cruz just committed political suicide in front of the entire nation. By being petty and not endorsing Trump (purely on personal reasons), he told the entire GOP and most likely Trump voters in November to get bent. There was a reason he was booed off the stage and people were wanting to fight him later that night.

Cruz is fucked.He'll never get anymore backing after what he did at the RNC this week. He was already a hated man, but he still had some big money backers at the time. That's gone. The main purpose of the RNC is to unite the party, yet Cruz took this time to give them all the finger and show them why he's hated so much in Washington, DC. He may still be voted in as Senator in Texas again, but his political career beyond that is toast. Ashes. Hell, judging by his facebook page, it's very likely he might even be replaced in Texas. There were many of his supporters turning on him for not endorsing Trump. It was a bold move Cotton. We'll see how it plays out.

The thing about this whole squabble between Cruz and Trump started when a super pac supporting Cruz attacked Donald Trump's wife Melania. Cruz had the opportunity to denounce it and to refuse any support from that group. No, he simply denied it and allowed it to fester until Trump hit back with the upper cuts. Cruz has been deplorable this election cycle with the dirty tricks to Ben Carson and Trump. Fuck him.

You forgot War on Police which is certainly a thing now.

What is bolded is the key to your issues in the second paragraph. Look at the cost to educate the kid in those DEMOCRATE run cities with all the violence I listed above.

There is American tax money being spent by poverty pimps in these areas who aren't doing their job...little accountability. Teacher unions, city administrators, local clergy, social welfare programs, community service boards, after school programs, Urban Housing programs...the list goes on and on. These communities that squander my tax money. I say no more. Im tired of ineffective policies. The federal, state, and local government pump money into these areas with little return. Im tired of the complaining, its never enough. There needs to be some accountability.

All look at the most poverty ridden areas in the country...Its not a fact violence is in all impoverished communities.

It does seem like I have personal anecdotes a lot of times, but I was an MP in Germany in the early 90's, and trust me you didn't want to have the Polizei finding weapons around you. We, the US Army Military Police, were not allowed to keep our weapon's loaded even on patrol.

But, we are safer now.

So if we take your premise that we are safer and combine that with stats from your same report that shows gun sales have gone up by more than half I imagine that means you are not in favor of stricter gun laws? I mean its a safer world and more people are legally purchasing and carrying guns so we should be good right?
