Redskins at Cardinals pre game

This will be a tough one imo. Arizona's defense is first in yards allowed and eleventh in points allowed. David Johnson and Larry Fitzgerald on offense are two great players going against probably our biggest defensive weaknesses, our rush defense and nickle corner. We need to either sit Fuller this game and give someone else a shot (Will Blackmon, maybe Toler) or give him some help. Some INTs from Palmer would be nice (11 on the year), but our secondary seems allergic to catching balls

I don't feel good about this one, but I'll say Redskins, 28-20

I actually feel pretty good about this one. I think Cousins goes into this game with something to prove. The last time these two teams met, Cousins was a pick throwing machine. If I'm not mistaken, he was benched after the Cardinals game.

I think he's motivated to pick 'em apart. Arizona is regressing and the Redskins are on an upward trend. Redskins will win.

KC is going to continue his growth, and the defense having gotten a chance to regroup. 35 -21 Skins win

23 - 16, Skins.

Cardinals are tough on defense, they stop the run well and they can rush the passer. We'll need our tackles to be on point, but we score enough.

Where they have trouble this year is pass protection. Palmer is one of the more sacked QBs in the league. This game is all about Kerrigan, Murph, Preston and Baker. Get to Palmer and we win.

One thing that's nice is to finally play a QB who is not mobile at ALL. He stands like a statue back there.

Yes. Good call. It was gut punches watching Rodgers and Dak stand back, see everyone covered then just run the 15 yards of wide open green grass.

Do you think teams scheme that when they know we will only be rushing 4? The send everyone long and if a guys open, great pass it. If not, the QB knows he has 10-15 yards of wide open field to run. It seems that way imo.

I thought that is where Cravens would be helpful. I know we started to shadow Dak late in the Dallas game, after the damage was already done.

Luckily, I was reading somewhere we'll use Cravens to shadow Johnson since Palmer runs a 7.4 40.

I will literally rip my eyeballs out if we watch Palmer run in for a touchdown. Whenever Eli does it to us, I lose my shit!

Agreed, and because they're very much a downfield passing team, it's all about the trench matchup, because Palmer will just sit and sit back there.

We can get to him, big time. I want 5+ sacks.

If we get as creative as we did with the Cowboys, I don't think their line can hold up. I need to find the article, but they were showing it wasn't Barry being the problem. It ended up the Cowboys just blocked it really well.

I would agree with that. Their line has dealt with so many injuries. Against Atlanta they shuffled their line around and it looked better, but the Falcons teed off in the fourth quarter during obvious passing situations and Palmer went 9-20.

Their starting RT was just signed off the Dolphins' practice squad a few weeks ago. They moved DJ Humphries from RT to LT when that acquisition was made. He has pedigree, he was a 1st rounder. But he's still playing out of position. It'd be like us moving Moses from RT to LT. We'd feel nervous until he proved he was solid.

It's a situation where we should be able to win off the edge. If we don't, then it will make Arians look like a genius for tweaking the lineup.
