I agree Scherff is crazy talented, and he should've been locked long term 2 years ago... but once that one was messed up by BA, then I would have accepted to let him walk, it's hard to find guys of Scherff's talent, but you can find plug and play decent guards, we've proven that several times in the past, most recent example being Schweitzer.
18M/y for an aging RG who missed 16 games in 3 seasons
and is coming off one of his worst seasons just isn't the answer forme.
