Thuney is the better player, and more durable. He hasn't missed a game in five years, with 7.5 sacks allowed in those 5 years.
Scherff is damn good, but his availability issues alone are enough for him not to warrant a contract that one up's Thuney's.

Doesn't matter who's better just matters who's time it is to get paid and reset the market. Scherff coming off an all pro season has more leverage than ever.
