Re: How likely is it Ron and the front office will pursue Aaron Rogers?

Right now I'd be putting feelers out about Jimmy G. I know everyone looks at his inability to finish games like last night, but if you look beyond that I think he would be a sound interim 1-2 year starter while we look for 'our guy' in the draft. He can win games. He has playoff experience. He performs well with protection. For me he's the new Alex Smith, as long as we don't hand him the same kind of dumb contract we handed Smith.

He may not win a SB for us, but he's a marked improvement on what we have in the QB room. Given the praise he's earned from his team mates and Shanny, he's got to have the leadership skills, and he's got the physical skills TH doesn't have. For now, until we draft a franchise QB, he's better than any projected FA (hell 9ers might even have to cut him to drop that $25M hit) and likely wouldn't be too costly as a trade target (and I certainly wouldn't trade too much away in any case). Competition from other needy teams is the only issue. Interesting market between now and April.
