Bates should be the starting TE now. Go 3-wide with Bates at TE, and pound the fucking football, then use that to set-up quick play-action passes and the short passing game in general. All 3 of those WRs are great with the ball in their hands, give it to them, and let them eat.

Then mix in the occasional long-ball.

I really wish Heinicke knew how to run a read-option. That would be a huge weapon, and something that he should be good at, but he's not.
